He is mentioned in Atharva Veda, Bhavisya Purana.

My point is since  he is mentioned in Hindu scriptures than we should follow him.

 Nope, he existed after Buddha and vedas were written at least 1500 to 2500 years before that....

The first generation computer existed before third generation computer so are we going to use first generation computer or the third generation computer.
I was born in a Hindu family and i am a convert to Al-Islam. After my extensive research and reading my own Hindu scriptures, i came to know prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) is also a good person sent by GOD like Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Ram and i think we should follow him.
Please read Bhavisya Purana Prati Sarg Parv III Khand 3 Adhya 3 Shloka 5-8 for details. It not only says his name but also says we should follow this antim rishi (final saint). And we Muslims believe he is the final messager.
It's a matter of our salvation and i think we should give little bit of our time!

 well, we'll see how it goes on that day (if that day exists at all). For me, the so called judgement day is just made up bull$hit because you don't have a logic to explain all the wrong that happens everyday on earth. if god exists and cares for people, he/she shouldn't have created bad things on the first place. you might argue that it's people who created bad, not god. well, if god was smart enough to create people, why the hell did he not program them properly?
