Ha ha ha Brig Ma'am! It is all a bit unnerving at times I admit. But what I was impressed with when I went to KTM last time was there are neighborhoods in the city - a lot of it new development- where people have said we are sick of depending on the municipality and actually have taken it upon themselves to sweep their streets and make sure trash is dumped at the right place. There are several factors involved when it comes to upkeep and maintenance of neighborhoods and I don't want to over simply things with that one example, but I think if there are enough concerned people who are willing to take up an issue and back talk with action, such people can affect change in small ways.

Anyways, time to grab some lunch.

hehehe Captain...I don't even know what that is...babelfish? As for the books I'd like to read the second book by Khaled Hosseini when I get a chance, but for now I got "Water" by Bapsi Sidhwa keeping me engaged..having watched the movie first,..umm..I think twice..takes away the element of surprise. Nonetheless reading the elegantly woven plots- the story in general still holds its charm..A friend of mine says its one of her favorite, hence had to read it for myself before I come to conclusion of any sort...:-)

Sndy--How did you find the book? I loved his first one. It was so realistic in presentation and moving too. I'd also recommend "Kabul Beauty School" by Deborah Rodriguez also based set on Afghanisthan.

Jack--Thanks for the pictures. As always they bring back memories and they've all come out great. Are you visiting Nepal these days?

Avani, his second book is as captivating as his first. I liked it because he's written it from women's perspective. Also it made me cry :( He's simply a genius when it comes to narrating his story.

Lovely Lady - Those two cups were put out there to entice customers. Theres more inside if you want. As for the cup and saucer being better than the beverage, only you could say such a thing. Wow, what a woman of fine taste you are! ha ha ha

Looks like an interesting book. Haven't read anything spiritual in a while.(Have read some pretty anti-spiritual stuff though by Christopher Hitchens )
