I am fren with a girl from GBS full of life and humour inspite of all the difficulties she has that is all and she definately is not Babita whoever she is.I am writing from PA,US

Thanks for the information, Jamie. I agree with you. Girls also have sense of humor; maybe back in old days, it was not the same. But, hey, I myself was very shy then (and still am). So, I guess, it varies person to person, so the generalization may not be a good idea.

Park in what used to be teachers' tarkari-baari?? Most of the teachers must have been against the idea of using that area for other purpose... Poor Rabi sir, poor Mohan sir, poor Bhim sir... my heart cries for them :(

But, that's a good change... I visited GBS six years back. And, I was really surprised to see that walls being constructed along the road. Damn... how can students minds be free within closed walls???? It looked terrible....
We used to gather in Jhinge chautara (some people called it Milan Chowk) in evenings after dinner. But, poor juniors, I guess they had to find some other alternatives...

What?? Car Park where My favourite "Belauti ko Rukh" used to be.. Bloody hell.. anyway thnigs got to change.. I guess ahile ko junior bhai bahini haru le teha ko belauti chakna napaune bhayo.. what about all those fruit trees in RDC farm. I hope they are still there..

the communist song that slakademic sang( if my memory serves me right) went something like this "ghus khane ghussa lai kheda gau bata, hazar hazar ghus khaye hamro gau bata" .. i dont really know if it is a commie song or not but I think I remember someone (manoj?) telling me that it was.

and about the girls being shy and innocent.. shy most definitely.. innocent?? I guess I will never know.. re k..:p..

Rockend thanks for all the info.At first I thought you were a girl disguised as a guy with your ehehe but as you gave us every detail of bathroon of boys hostel.I have erased that doubt.If you had said respect instead of like I would agree with you.I respect them all.Why should I hate Rabi baral I never took geography,enviriment or population as my optional subject.As for maichang maam I still remember her she was my grade teacher 4A.
Mohan sir must be the one missing the vegetable garden the most.I can remember him watering his cucumber plants,cauliflowers at night with torch in his mouth when we would return from our evening study hour.
Slackdemic I think shy,innocence and beautiful are directly related to eachother.I really liked the fact that you made sure that the person you brought up here was not treated unfairly.And as you are from Lamjung I was wondering if you remember that we used to have a twin from Lamjung who were famous for their similar looks.

I am also frm lamjung hostel ... but I am junior to you all... Well teacher haru ko tarkari barii chaiii shift bhayeko cha.. well it's near to the apartment area beside the senior girls hostel...

Well RDC farm area is still there but there is no any cattle over there... now.... Well RDC farm area bhanda ali katii nagik.. principal ko apartment ko pachadii.. chaii GCS
(Gandaki College of Sciences )ko buliding cha.. it's BSC in computer engineering .. And it's been planned to go till PHD level.. and make GBS a universtiy... Well let's see what happens in the future..

YEah maichang madam was mah grade 4 class teacher.. Well ahile naya kura bhannu parda.. GBS ko dining hall pani extend bhayeko cha.. keti haru basne thau tira extension bhayeko cha.. ANi there is door for the entrance from the girls side and the boys side..

okiee I do respect every teachers but I didn't like rabi baral sir.. that's all.... Well there has been several changes in the teachers too.. there are new teachers and many teachers left gbs..

Yeah many teachers must have left GBS by now. I heard even Govinda sir is now in Ktm, principaling a boarding...

Dilip sir left gbs about 6-7 yrs ago.. Narayan Uprety sir is now the principal of GEMS school....... and many other teachers left gbs...

I heard Uprety is real ill.... suffering from a serious disease. So much serious that he cannot recognize people.

I hope Mr Uprety doesnot have Alzheimer's. the twins were junior to me but we were good friends they were so good at sports.

What is Alzheimer's?

Camey Alzheimer's is an illness that donot show any physical damages but it causes a lot mentally.One slowly loses their memory.For example if I had the illness and suppose I am happily married for 30 years, I have a teenage son.I would be telling my friend how I was engaged for 2 years had a son and the man broke his promise and never married me while my dad is in the house doing laundry.
Or I would take a girl sitting next to us at a function as my son's wife who is never married and tell my son to love her, give flowers to her everyday for no reason, appreciate her cooking even though that taste bad.
I might take off my blouse in middle of street for no reason at all.
One slowly loss their memory and as the illness gets worst it completely changes their personality.
I might tell people that my family is feeding me acid for breakfast.You are not yourself.
I hope I am close enough.Anyone would like to enlighten more?Please.
