Here are some of the stocks that showed up on my buy scan. We may have seen the low but it is possible that we see one more sell-off to wash the weak hands. Currently I am doing intraday trades from the long side only. If S&P closes below 800, I'll stay on the sidelines.
If the market goes up from here these stocks should easily double. The holding period is at least 1 year (if profitable). Put these stocks on your watch list and when you see a pattern as described on the follwing link, you can buy. ALWAYS use stop losses. Stops should be somewhere between the low of the cup and low of the handle. This pattern is described in detail in William O Neil's book, "How to make money in stocks". You can probably get it from your local library or buy one...it is worth the money. If you are patient and wait for the right time you should do pretty good at the end.
If you find other stocks that have a similar pattern, please post it here.

I won't have time to post everyday but will try to answer any questions on weekends.
Thanks for all the emails.
Happy Investing.

Not sure what is happening with C. I bought it back when it was 3.23 and sold it when it reached 3.62. Now it is at 3.47. The stock has not fluctuated much. I wonder if I should buy bunch of C now. What do you guys think? Other stocks I am keepin my eye on are Alcoa and General Electric. Any ideas on those?

Nice to see a group of Nepali traders here. Is anybody still holding ANPI and CTIC? I think these will take a while to take off again but are worth holding, Any suggestions?

I bought some at 2.19 because this price is one of the lowest in more than a year. I don't see much room for any downfall. I purchased only couple hundred shares though don't want to put too much on this. It will be come back soon to its original position for sure.

I'm not sure what some of you are doing here.....but it's your money. Buying a stock that is making a 52 week low is similar to buying a lottery ticket. It may work in the short run but in the long run you'll be broke. Currently all types of stocks are going up but soon the market will change where strong stocks will go up and weak ones will be punished. It is better to make it a habit of buying strength and selling weakness.

Update on my positions: I had a good day on both my positions: FAS and REXX. Bought FAS at 9.30. Today it closed at 9.52. Due to the volatility of FAS, I unloaded half of my current position. Bought REXX at 7.0 and 7.10. Today it closed at 7.56. For those holding onto REXX I had mentioned that 7.40 was a major resistance. Phew, we got through it. Now if the market is up tomorrow, REXX should shoot up in my opinion. Lets see. Regarding emini's comment, I feel this thread has degenerated into people buying penny stocks and trying to steal short profits. No offense to anyone here but if you guys want, why not open a thread just for penny stocks like CTIC and HEB. Also, I don't know about you guys but when someone says buy this and that without any supporting technicals or fundamentals, I feel overwhelmed. Peace, FF.

I looked at HEB and CTIC because everyone is talking about it here. I usually do not touch anything below 5 but if you look at the chart of HEB, it made a new 52 week high on the first week of May. The previous high was about $1.1 that was made in the first week of July 08. If you had followed my strategy you would have bought those at $1.1 after it closes above the previous high. I wrote about it yesterday on my blog. HEB could go higher but CTIC could test $0.8 before it advances. I haven't looked at the news but if they are waiting for FDA approval and do not get it it could go down to pennies again.......

I am wondering if I should ring the cash register and sell my stocks in FSYS and JCI. Both have had a good run-up. Any suggestions? FF, Emini, et.al.?

This might just be a silly questions to most of you guys but I am quite new to the stock thing and I am in the learning phase right now. Is there a minimum no of shares that you have to buy or Is there a certain amount of share that you have to buy from the websites like zecco. I am just thinking of giving it a try to see how it goes. Hope you guys have some suggestions. Laure_boi
