Dear all,
I had recently started on taking my clicks [again] after I bought myself a DSLR. I am not a pro, just an amateur who knows a just a basic [or even less] of photographies and takes his toll on whatever knowledge he had gained!! Once long time ago I had started a thread contributing to the beautiful pictures from Nepal for which there were numerous contributers and some of them even professionals. As of now I remember them as Bhanja, I_Nepali, Khaobadi, Aloneguy77 who had some love for this. I hope and think there are still number of us among our community who wants to learn and share the things or two about photography!
Here is to share the first one from my side!

Paris!

Hey rocky07 thanks for the comment.

Juggy had posted very good information/steps on taking HDR image ( http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/openthread.cfm.cfm?StartRow=271&PageNum=10&forum=163&threadid=55814 )

Here is the copy paste of the previous post by Juggy. All credit goes to Juggy.

Refer here for what HDR is --> High Dynamic Range Imaging
For producing a HDR image, you should take three or more exposure of same image WITHOUT moving a camera. If you move your camera when taking the three consecutive images then you will get ghosting effects! Normally, Higher levels of DSLRs have bracketing feature which allows you to take three consecutive exposures without manually changing EV each time. Check if your camera model has one or not!!
So for a Nikon D80(which I use), Here is a small tutorial to generate HDR image.

A)Taking Images
1) Always remember to take a tripod to take ur HDR images. This helps to keep your camera fixed for many shots you will be taking.
2)Select a good spot and enough light to get your image.(I don't suggest dark days to take HDR image as HDR image are used to give more details to the pictures and on dark days, you won't get too much details).
3) Select your camera to Manual(M) mode.
4) Normally High edge camera has (bkt) button for auto bracketing. If you have Nikon D80 it is just below the flash button. Press this button and scroll ur main wheel/sub menu wheel to select number of frames (...F Value) and EV spacing (values after F on). I usually take three frames in +/- 2 EV spacing. This normally covers all dynamic range.
5) Focus your camera to your object. If you used auto focus for focusing on the object, then after focusing, turn it into manual so focus won't chage in between these three frames.
6) Through the view finder you can see your exposure value, adjust it using the scroll wheel until the camera thinks it’s appropriate. i.e. until you see something like below.
  +_ _ _|_ _ _ -
5) Now take three exposures of your pictures. and you are all set to get your HDR image.

B) Post processing
To generate a HDR image, you can get lots of software which generates HDR image. I used Photomatix pro 3.0 to generate my images.  It is simple program used to generate HDR images which has simple tutorial with it.Now you combine these three images in this software and tone map according to your preference to produce your HDR image. I also use photoshop CS2 for tone mapping. Enjoy the HDR imaging. I am just a starter in this and shared what I know. If anybody can add on please do so, I can always learn a thing or two!!

PR Sthapit,
If You are going for point and shoots then I would suggest you to go with Canon or Nikon ranges. I personally prefer these ranges because of their sharp performances. If you ask me about opinion, I would never go for Sony Range. But some say their H5 ranges works fine too. But again that is my personal choice. I have used some ranges from sony and canon, and I prefer canon. But I have Nikon DSLR now and I simply love it. Rest is your choice. And if you go for some model, then first look at their reviews online, I normally see, DP review and CNet review as authentic. Rest is your choice, and happy photographing!! =)

Juggy,

I think the Eiffel Towr pic is fake. Because, there are no roads underneath it, in reality :)

But, nice attempt.

Explorer, Tara.,
That picture is as it came out of my camera. If you want to see the EXIF data on the pic, you can see it here:
EXIF File
About the road thingy, there is nothing underneath it, but there is road INFRONT of it. If you see the pic clearly, you will see that.
So enjoy the picture, and if you still think it is photoshopped, I can do nothing about it; I can juss say, go to Paris and see the Eiffel from the same place I took that picture from!!

Nepal is full of natural beauty. recently the ICIMOD Hindu-Kus Himalayan Prize won by Gufa lake of Sankhusava's photograph. i really liked the tranquility of the lake. thanks photographer prem hang banem. can be seen at  http://www.icimod.org/photocontest/page/winners

.Here's one from my Yellowstone trip. Nothing spectacular. I just loved the fact that there's this one wild horse separate from the rest of the group, thinking something.

And, this one is one of my favorite. This was the bluest water I have seen, and the little wave-like motions make it look awesome.
