I love this winter so,
this bloody sun won't go
i find solace in solitude
eyes preserve my sanity

Fire burns peacefully so,
i stand in cold shadow
casting dark over the stone
please it freezes me

I pray the gods so,
just let the winter flow
and if u would never go
it would never be so,
long

and still the winter falls
time so slowly turns

The Halloween fun

Late night as I walk through the streets
I see shadows or is it my imagination
Of people lurking, or monsters in disguise
I should have known it?s the late night time!

Other time people fear the ghosts
This one night they want to be one
Am I drunk, must be the one extra shot
Opps I forgot, tonight starts the Halloween fun.

Train Ride

The rattling sound of the train,
the fume, the fuss,
hundreds line up to meet their own.

Cold wind softly touches my cheeks
as chills run through my spine.
I crave for togetherness and warmth
to kill my lonesomeness.

Steps are small, steps are big,
it seems like years.
All I have is sweet memories
that I cherish.

As I relax and close my eyes,
I hear siren,
Siren and whistling of the unknown train.

Destination seems to be approaching
for I feel like an unguided missile,
my inner self seems weak.

The smell of fall and the color change,
is all I see, awakens me from my deep sleep.

Scorpiosting, i guess i happen to one of those out of the ordinary ranas . ( call me a looser or a winner.. hehe.........) Sajha is really addictive, and my pen does not stop.

Nice poetry everyone! Truly inspired by the Sajhaites' ability to write poetry wherever and whenever possible :), here is my trial version:

Fear crawls under the carpet
the latched door doesn't stop shuddering
a voice loud and harsh echoes in the room and seeks refuge
horror flings open like an automated machine

While Rama clings to her mother
a soul gets dragged like a carcass
in seconds something is missing
one more maltreatment,
and a letter of false justification

The hole they?ve dug to throw men
deep and black, down by Chiso Khola
yet the masquerading consolations she receives
against the naked tortures the trees have witnessed quietly
the haplessness that she has stopped counting on
and the slaughtering being practiced like a ritual?
could it get worse?

Rattling of pots early morning
the daily chores
for the heck of living
memories that haunt her
while she latches the door again
it was the Maoists
it will be the army next
she just holds Rama tight and stares at the latched door.
