This voting is not fair enough. Because, most of your votes come from the people living in USA or at least abroad, and they may not represent the Nepali people who are facing the real situation inside Nepal. The people who are surrounded by a different environment may vote in a different way.

On the linking note; those who tend to subtly hint others of trying to save a despot and would make a sweeping statements of having a vested interest on top of that; could I be amazed and counter by stating that Maoists threat is the most important to tackle, simply because for me personally, I do not want to go from one despot to another inhuman, barbaric and devoid of any thing and everything productive bunch of killers.

Now hinged on that very premise of those who says I have a vested interest, could they themselves be nothing but a Maoist well wisher and trying to bring their Polpot reincarnation to rule. Hmmmmmmm... Talk about having a vested interest. :)

OK while it is very easy to play the blame game, lets practise some fair play. Within the field and adhering to the rule of the game.

Honestly speaking, without counting the majority of the population which struggles for its daily bread, those who are padhe lekheka, khana pugne and din ko ek dui ghanta guff chutne time milauna sakne Nepalis can be politically divided into the royalists, royalists sympathisers, party followers, party sympathisers, maoists and maoists sympathisers. Or lets say absolute monarchists, constitutional monarchists, democratic republicans and communist republicans. Nepal's politics is revolving round these lots who try to outclass each other claiming that they are the true representative of the ordinary, poverty stricken public. And, There are few who claim that they are independent, they don't give a damn to politics, but they also lean towards one of the above camps. These are those who can slip into any camp any time, figuring out how much gains the camp shifting can provide them. Damn, How can I forget those who are monarchists, democrats and republicans for the sake of personal gains? Afnai style ma afno tira duno sojhyaune haru.

Aba kura auchha. Which one is better than whom? Here, ideally speaking, education, common sense, the practises working nicely in the outer world should prevail. Anyways, my common sense tells me that the Maoists wouldn't have found the reasons to manipulate sojha sajha Nepali If: The King was bound by the constitution and laws. If the King had no power over the country's military. If the King didn't have the authority to dismiss elected governments. If the royals were not allowed to live extravagantly with the tax payer's money. If Paras had faced legal challenge or parliamentary scrutiny for murders and rapes. But I know I am wrong, because afu pariyo maoists well wisher :)

Khmer Rouge and Polpot were criminal gangs. No doubt. Maoists and Prachanda are catching up them. Agreed. But how did Polpot rose to power? Wasn't King Narodam Sihanouk and General Lon Nol responsible to help him come to power? Cambodia ma Polpot ko uday ra abasan kasari bhayo? I think this is something we have to ponder upon. Likewise, how could Maoists develope themselves into a military force that could challenge a national army in a matter of decade? They were scores of defeated communists politicians whose primary demand amongst other things was a monarchy under the laws. Why couldn't the palace agree on constitutional assembly elections during the first negotitations 4 years ago when they were more of a political force than a military power? At least a weaker proposition than they are now. Who has helped for the reincarnation of Polpot? Who can't give up extra- constitutional, extra judicial power for encouraging the maoists to join the mainstream? Who is blocking negotiations and helping breed and raise the children of Khamer Rouge? Who is in fact a maoists well wisher? :)

BTW, has anyone noticed that it was not King Sihanouk but Vietnam's direct intervention that dismantled Khmer Rouge from power in Cambodia? But bY then millions had lost their lives. The greatest fear of this maoists well wisher is that those who are vowing to crush the rebels by militrary means are in fact helping them to convert into Polpot's disciple. And there is one more truth to share with fellow citizens. Recently, the maoists who I wish so well of, looted my Uncle's house by taking my uncle, aunty and small cousins at gunpoint and took everything the old couple had gathered during their life time. I could have spilled all the venom against the barbarians but I don't because, for me, the root of the problem lies with the dictator. TOmorrow, they may kill my loved ones but still my fingers will be pointed towards the dictator whose crazy political ambitions thwarted the oppurtunities to prevent the maoists from reincarnating as Polpots. Who said maoists didn't get votes and ran to jungle. He must have misjudged history. During first elections after democracy, they had 9 seats and were the third largest party in parliament (samyukta janamorcha). Then RPP had only 3 seats. In next election RPP had about 20 seats and were able to get PM (Lokendra and Surya). Had Maoists carried along with their election campaig, I don't see why they couldnt be in PM, especially when Nepal was going through a lot of hung parliaments.

I strongly support your point. Sanyukta Janamorcha was a really strong party of Nepal, and they were predicted to win lot more seats in the election following that. If they were running after the position, they never would have gone to the Jungle.

Supporting or not the Nazi action is not the important factor. Creating peaceful and fair society is the important matter of this time. Society can be fair only if 'Shamanti' and 'Soshaks' are complitely eliminated, may be eradicated might be the right word. A society becomes peaceful where there is no distinction between higher class and the lower class, and the lower class people would never have to fight to get their rights.
