I just wated to share my view with he sajha communiy. After comming to US and dating and observing girls out here, I have so much appreciation and respect for girls back home.I am talking about those quite ones, who respect their parents and culture, Who basically sacrifice their personal dreams and aspirations for their families, the homemakers. I realise that I was so wrong to look and wonder around for something which was already there. At this point in my life I have promissed myself that I am always going to respect such girls and I am going to treat my wife like a queen.

I re-phrase it:

You are one of those second hand enlightened Nepali folks (esp. residing in USA) I have encountered recently.

This is what USA has taught me- at least to improve my "Nepenglish."

LOL!

Hey SHIV:

If you (SHIV, MAHADEV, ANANTA, SHANKAR, ISAN...etc,etc) have ever heard a song by "Tina Turner" "Second Hand Emotion", then you would have known that by now. But, if not, then I can En-Light-En you "JATAADHARI" through a very simple way-

Pleae just think "A Second Hand Smoker."

Can you dig it???

Aha...

Why marry Nepalis in America? There are prettier and classier gals in Nepal, if you ask me. Gals who come to the United States to study seem to be the dregs of our society--classless, depraved, promiscuous, and fat, bloated cows. Except for one hot girl who happens to study at Northwestern, I haven't met one Nepali girl in America, who I would classify as "hot". Girls in Nepal tend to be thin, and yes, quite moral. Some of these lardass Nepali females in America( I call em Manjushree Thapas. They run around screwing non-Nepali dudes...yeah, that's feminism I tell ya) will have you believe that these women in Nepal are being oppressed. Well then get yourself a nice vibrator and screw yourself. We don't need you skanks anyway. We'll marry classier, sexier women with our greencards. We don't need you elephants.
And they seem to drink like sailors too. The bottomline is that you should *never* marry somebody who reads feminist literature. If you want equality, then hop onto a boxing ring with a man and see who beats the crap out of who. Fact is, men and women are not equal, neither physically not intellectually. Female IQ hovers around the average, while male IQ shows more standard deviation. Overall, both males and femals have the same average IQ, but geniuses tend to be males, not females. I don't see that many female Da Vinci's running around, do you? The signal to dump her ass is when she starts harping about abortion. Men are also stronger(duh), but feminists will have you believe otherwise.
Look what happened to Larry Summers for telling the truth. If women are so scientifically inclined, then why are most scientists who have achieved success males.
And I'm not claiming to be a rocket scientist either. I am just an average dude.

Not an "average dude" You should say that you belong to the lowest point in the bell curve whose pea brain refuses to accept that the society is the way it is because of the norms set by unidentified idiots like yourself.

I dont much care for your tendencies to get attracted to animals, classy or otherwise.

And I am not claiming to be a feminist either. I am just a female.

guys, I am not trying to belittle anybody here, I am sure there are a lot of intelligent and nice girls here in US. so, I am sorry if I offended any body.

sand is deep : I was too young to think about marrige and family life when I came to US.

thugged_out: dude you have got to reevaluate your stance on women.
achievers have tended to been males in the past because they have always had the upper hand. and women have always been opressed. further more dont just look at the good things males have done, also consider all the wars, distruction and various other evils that have happened because of males. So, I think its time we start to respect and appreciate the good women in our lives and give them chances, and filter out the bad ones.

People who give science as an example to subordinate women are wrong. there is no scientific study that concludes that females are inferior than males in any ways (yes! both physically and mentally)

physically speaking:

females are more immune to diseases than male.yes males are stronger than females physically; but strength alone cannot be a deterministic factor for superiority. they have ability to withstand childbirth pain. i can't and i do not want to. can/do you?

mentally speaking:

who said that all the great scientists were males only. what about madam curie. if you need more names go look it up yourself. you have to consider the fact that women were already disenfranchised and discriminated back in those days so that they could not contribute a lot to scientific inventions.

IQ tests cannot alone be a determining test.

well, all the women i know are intelligent and some are even better than me. i don't think it's even worth being a SEXIST in the 21st century it is very unpopular and most of all WRONG!

yeah tregor if you want someone who will be the PERFECT house wife for you then you might not want to go to nepal. Girls in Nepal are educated and ambitious and they are very open minded and outgoing now. Gone are the days where a girl could just look at a picture of a guy and find herself married the next day. Today's girls want much more than a family and husband they want career and not being rules by their husbands. if you dont like these kind of girls then you might better want to stay "bramachari"!!!

Only one "Hot" Nepali gal in the United States, as Mr. Thugged_Out claimed? I feel so sad for you rest Nepali gals in the States. Or perhaps, he got blind on either "Surya Grahan" or "Aunshi ko Raat" - the exact time when he for the first and perhaps the last time happened to see the only so called "HOT" gal in the States....

What a joke...!!!

"Aafu Bhalo Toh Jagat Bhalo"
That's all I have to say about this thread.

thugged_out,

I think that some of the arguments made here are condescending and do not account for the centuries of oppression against women across all civilizations. There's still no level plain field out there (and there's never been)...us men have always enjoyed a significant advantage...

If given equal opportunity and environment, there's no reason to believe that women won't perform as well as men.

I can feel the pain in having to let go of the status-quo, but sooner or later, it will happen... So we'd better embrace it as a good thing, rather than come up with idiotic excuses to defend our "superior status by birth" in society.

mamta,
let it put it this way..
Do you think carear (O: is what all "present" female wants and is it sufficient to maintain a good family and household?

For a while, forget about being feminist and I would myself being a male chavaunist.

Do you really think trying to dominate fairer sex or harping tone of equality and career really helps you to sustain a better home and family.

Please, think about it.

Personally, i believe life in US and now in Nepal its getting tougher. Gone are the days when ONE EARNER COULD FEED 12 FAMILY MEMBERS. So, I believe I would love [ everybody will (o:] career oriented female who knows how to balance between family and career (o:

And tregor,
it may not be a general statement u r making. Nepalese girls educated in America are preety nice. [ if you get to their softer side (o: ]
But if u r worried about attaining "damaged goods" then all I can say is marry somebody who is 10 years old (o: . I think its all about generation and today's generation in Nepal is comparable to what girls @ US . So, basically no difference here or there. And when you talk about culture remember it also applies to GUYS. [ me included as well]
====================================================
Anywhoooooooooooooooooooo
and as always
What do i know (o:

One simple average question to you average Mr. Thugged_Out-

Are you given a birth by your "Mighty Mother" or just happened to born by the "Ribs of your father"???

Women not being physically and mentally tough- the above depicts your below average IQ.

Yet another encounter with a second-hand enlightened Nepali folk in Pardesh.

My tally so far- infinte number of below average IQ Nepali dudes in the States: waiting for at least couple average IQ Nepali dudes in USA.
The tally continues....
