I just felt dizzy when I read about the tragic death of 13 people yesterday by a drunk army man. I did not even feel like talking since yesterday. Naturally, we were all sad for the black day which shall always haunt us.

But when I heard about the Nepal Bandh and ritos by the hooligans, obviously encouraged by the bigger thugs of the political parties, it made me feel even more sad. Simply put, it was disgusting. Trying to win political benefit from the dead? I never thought that the political parties in Nepal could act this recklessly and shamelessly.

When everyone should have been trying to offer condolences to the family of the victims and when everyone should have been committed towards finding the facts, the political parties resorted to their old dirty tricks: Nepal closure by force. That too shedding crocodile tears.

When UML broke up into Bamdev faction and Makune faction,Girija shed crocodile tears but it is well know among the political circle that he opened bottles of whishky to celebrate inside closed doors. Similarly, when Deuba broke Nepali congress, Makune and his followers shed crocodile tears in public while celebrating in privacy.

I am not trying to compare the breaking up of the corrupt parties with the death of innocent Nepalese. The breaking up of the corrupts was welcomed by the public whereas the death has cast a dark cloud of sadness over all peace-loving people of the world. The point I am trying to drive home is that - seeing the action of the irresponsible political parties - this tragic incident was more of an opportunity for the political parties to create further chaos in the country. Aftre all, why would they care about deaths of 13 villagers in some corner of Kathmandu? For them, gaining political advantage is all that matters, no matter of how.

The riot and forced closure of Kathmandu was a sign of deep disrespect the political parties have bestowed upon the dead.

^^you have started on me by labelling me as a kukur and what not. You have even challenged me to fight.

However, I want to let you know , as clearly as possible that unlike you,I am not for hire to create chaos.

Good luck in your search for trouble, dude.

Many wrote

"Hey sirish gyane has ordered The RNA and police to dominate Nepalese people using any means. so this is how he is involved "

I am still not convinced by your answer on KG's involvement in this shooting rampage. I am looking for a benefit for him on ordering this?

Even the political parties have not accused him of doing this. All they said was the govt. should take the responsibility.

any convincing answers?

Shirish jee, KG didn't do it himself neither he ordered to do this. But it's his autocratic system which doesn't allow the guilty to be punished, or his system has its own setup (too shoot the killer at the site). When crown prince's car's incident, every nepali's heads were down in shame; but when 12 innocent people were massacred, there's no utterance of words coz' we're bheda bhakra for them.

Freedom of speech applies to all. When you are celbrating your freedom, it should not hurt others' rights. Just a thought.

I hope Nepali people will surely make the political parties pay for their mockery of the dead.

Now let me speculate why they did it.

It obviously is due to the fact that the parites were spectacularly unable to show much "force"in their demonstraitons. No matter how much "bhada ka tattuus"they hire. So, they wanted to cash in on the mournful sentiments of the people. So they encouraged the public to riot, who were shocked and surprised.

But as we have seen now, the people have understood what is going on and they are waiting for the enquiries to conclude.

KG didn’t give condolences to the families of the bereaved because, like it would have been ‘dishonoring the dead’!

Dishounouring the dead?

Indeed! Maybe they got tired of dishonoring the living. It ain't fun anymore perhaps.

You see Maoists consistently and erratic security forces at regular intervals have been doing so for a while now.

Oh yeah, and the political parties are the middle-man. These "dalals" washes their hands with "gangajaal," but they will not miss the chance to take advantage of any situation, if it suits their purpose. Even if it is on the dead body of innocent victims, so be it.

Seller/Buyer <-------> Middle-man (Dalals) < -------> Seller/Buyer
(Erratic Sec. F.) <--->(Politicians & Parties.) <------> (Maoists - Killers par excellence)

May the victims soul rest in peace. My condolences.

In honour of the dead and with respect to the living:
"Nepal Students Stir Over Nagarkot Killing

2005-12-25 19:00:08

NLN Correspondent, KATHMANDU:
Hundreds of students in Kathmandu demonstrated against the recent killings of civilians in Nagarkot, demanding genuine investigation and more compensation to the families of the victims.

Student supporters of the seven political parties not only protested the Nagarkot killings but also supported pro-democratic agitation launched by political parties.

Protesting students accused the government of plotting the Nagarkot massacre as a note of warning to people in order to prolong the dictatorial regime.

Addressing a mass meeting organized at the end of the rally that marched from New Baneshwar to Maitighar in the afternoon on Sunday, Nepal Student Union president Mahendra Sharma said, “The Maoists are willing to join political mainstream but the King is standing as a barrier in the process.”

Criticizing the government prohibition to hold student rallies and demonstrations at several locations, he warned that the students would soon stage demonstrations near the Narayanhiti Royal Palace.

President of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Khimlal Bhattarai, claimed that the students’ stir would put an end to the King’s autocratic moves. He also accused the government of trying to incite division among the people.

Several other student leaders also addressed the rally in which they protested the government and dubbed the Nagarkot killing as the dictatorial regime’s intention to scare people with its military strength."
