"A very happy birthday to Prince Paras. I wish for his personal well being as well as that of his 25 million subjects. Long live Prince Paras! Long live Nepal." अब त्यो डाँका जति बढि बाँच्यो, त्यति ति २५ मिलियनको ज्यानमाथि खतरा छ। दुइटै सँगसँगै बाच्ने त कुरै काँ बाट आउँछ र?

Not that I think we should still dwell on this Namita / Sunita incident which happened many years ago (equally bad if not worse incidents have occurred in Nepal since), I couldn't help but notice how VincentBodega above made that comment without even making an effort to click on the provided link. I don't know about the content of the article as I haven't read it, but I feel that people should know that the article is an excerpt from a book written by Surya Bahadur Sen Oli who was a CDO and zonal administrator at the time. I fail to understand what is to do with Kantipur Publications being owned by Indians with regard to this story. And, please Vincent bro don't bother with your explanation. I'm honestly not interested.

This is not for Kick, so dont read it. Anyone who is interested can read and respond: I havent read the full article as well. Think about few of these points while you read it 1) I dont know about you guys, but without certain recording devices, how can the writer quote all these characters so well as to he is confident to use " " on what they said. 2) If he cared about the incident so much, why did he come out of it NOW (after 20 some years). AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL 3) PARAS WAS 10 YEARS OLD THEN... People who these kinda propganda to go after your own make me sick. Such much so for my new year's resolution of not being cynical. Disgusted, --BV

VB, Please dont get offended ! Take it easy and just think that there are some people in sajhaland who simply believe that kantipur publications is NOT owned by any Indians. Actually I DONT KNOW ABOUT IT. It would be great if you could elaborate a bit more. I did read that article in eKantipur. I think some of the actors mentioned in there are still alive and hope they will react on it soon. 1: For the first point youve mentioned, it is not necessary to record voice to quote someones reactions, is it? The writer might have maintained his daily diary during investigation as a Chief District Officer (CDO) and now he can freely quote them all in his book. It doesnt matter if someone lies and now denies on what they said at that very moment. 2: You are fully right in the third point,.. Paras was about 10 yrs of age. This whole article doesnt talk about Paras neither he is blamed here for that murder case. It seems to me that Paras is not any character or the actor of the whole story. It does point to some other royals instead. The name of Main actors is still not disclosed ! The writer has not mentioned names and blamed anyone. He has just explained what happened during his tenure in Kaski district as a CDO. 3. For the second point as you have mentioned, I think I dont need to explain more here. Remember that it happened during Panchayat era and you will know why the writer was obliged to keep silence. Just care to go thorough the story below. Story follows: A Farmer decided his injuries from the accident were serious enough to take the trucking company to court. In court, the trucking company's fancy lawyer was questioning the farmer. "Didn't you say at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine'?", asked the lawyer. Farmer Joe responded, "Well, I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite mule Bessie into the......." "I didn't ask for any details," the lawyer interrupted, "just answer the question. Did you not say at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine!'?" Farmer said, "Well, I had just got Bessie into the trailer and I was driving down the road..." The lawyer interrupted again and said, "Judge, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the highway patrolman on the scene that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying to sue my client." I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question." By this time the judge was fairly interested in Farmers answer and said to the lawyer, "I'd like to hear what he has to say about his favorite mule Bessie." Joe thanked the judge and proceeded, "Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favorite mule, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other. I was hurting real bad and didn't want to move. However, I could hear ole Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape just by her groans. Shortly after the accident, a highway patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning, so he went over to her. After he looked at her, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes. Then the patrolman came across the road with his gun in his hand and looked at me. He said, "Your mule was in such bad shape I had to shoot her. How are you feeling?" There are times in our lives when we are hesitant to say something out of fear. Not fear of being "shot", but fear of being "shot down", fear of being ridiculed, fear of being embarrassed. As a result, sometimes we choose silence instead. It seems "safe" considering the circumstances. VB, I hope, you got the answer for your second point. Have a nice time !

Ocean, I will keep this short. 1) when you quote someone it better be verbadum, or else there will be a possibility of influence from the writer. 2) When the link was first posted read what pire wrote after the link. 3) I will comment on your inquisition about the nationalities of the owners of Kantipur Media House and the story you so carefully wrote out by putting it on perspective. I will shed light on this issue after twenty years. Now read that story of yours once more, and try to use the moral you so delicately wrote out.

vb, so much for your sticking to truth... you just accused someone of being Indian, and hell, you can't prove it.... This is how all the royalists function here. I don't care whether you are offended or not, but believe me Parase will have the same fate as those who raped and protected the rapists of those innocent girls. This is the law of almighty.

I didn't quote parase here because I thought he raped those girls. He is killing and raping people rightnow, and , god willing, he will have the same fate as those whose family protected the rapist and had to die 'losing their organs, losing their children, and losing their whole family'. I am not advocating violence, but it is true that there exists the god almighty, and the curse of Prawin Gurung's family, the family of taxi driver killed in broadlight in KTM, the curse of the girls dancing in Everest hotel who were later raped in car of the royals and their relatives, you know what, it will materialize one day.

Ocean, your posting (2/3 post earlier) seems to be quite an interesting post but unfortunately I did not have time to read that novel. You seem to have a penchant to write lenghthy novels here in Sajha . You also seem to be under illusion that long posting make you look intelligent. Alas. And I agree with VB in this case.
