This is a horrible news... deaths one after another and all the young kids.... We had to hear 4 sad news in a row, death of a young girl in Troy,Alabama in a car accident, death of a young boy in Dallas in a gun shot, death of 3 young students in Minnesota and now again... 4 deaths in a car accident. I also heard that another student (first semester) at Troy, Alabama got into an accident and is in serious condition in the hospital. What is going on with us Nepalese people. As someone mentioned above, I'm not Superstitious but I'm now starting to believe that there is a "dasha" roaming around for nepalese people. I've been driving here for 10 years and I came to a similar situation in my recent trip to Minneapolis. A car (older guy was driving) cut into my lane... I was quick enough to slide my car over to the shoulder.. otherwise.. god knows....We were in 70mph. I din't think it was anything other than just a reckless driving by the other car driver but now I'm starting to think different.....! One thing I'd like to suggest (specially to the young guys who just started driving), please make yourselves comfortable before driving on the highways and interstates even the regular streets. We are far away from home and these incidents are just depressing to our families back home. I have heard that many new students are driving in some remote states (such as Troy, Alabama) without even a learner's permit which is not right. That means people who are driving do not know how to drive (technically). I request each one of you that please be careful driving. May God will listen to our prayers... lets all just pray for the departed souls and pray again so thay we may not have to hear these sad news again!

The original contributor in the link at "http://www.wacotrib.com/news/content/news/stories/2006/01/07/20060107wacpolicereport.html" indicates that the lady on the other car tried to overtake another car and met a head-on collision with the Nepalese students' car. However, the nepalnews and kantipuronline states that the students were the one who tried to overtake another vehicle, though these Nepali websites quote the wacotrib.com as their source of news. Though all 5 souls didn't deserve to meet this tragedy no matter whose fault it was, how come these Nepali websites misconstrue the fact given in their reference website, is the English in the wacotrib so hard to understand? Deepest condolences to family and friends of all five departed souls.

This is not a good indication. i have begun to feel that something bad "dasha" is looming around the nepalese students in united states. I myself experienced a close call few days ago. I have been driving for two years and i think myself as mature enough to handle the driving. but recently, i have been encountering some weird situations on the road. After hearing all these news i have become extra careful... guyes be careful,, something is going on !!! be really careful.. let's not hear any news like this again.!!! i am praying for everyone of us.!!! be safe!!

Ke ho yaar yesto pani! feri arko accident! my goodness.... my first thoughts towards the dead soul and thier near family members. God provide them strength to cope with this irreparable loss. And may their souls rest in peace. Oh god what an irony. Maybe the 4 souls were right here in sajha till last week, sympathizing with the family members of Utsav, Bedija and NIshma. Just my speculation, no offence anyone, but it is highly possible. And now, what is this

Two more close calls today with me.. Stop this now!!! One a mexican guy just didn't stop at the stop light and came in front of our car and another incident was a guy in the parking lot just walked right in front of the moving vehicle....very close calls. Not trying to spread panic but even being careful things are just happening weird.. It might be purely coincidental but not so frequent incidents.... Just be really careful guys. Luckily i have started driving 10-15 mph below my normal speed might have helped me these past weeks or so peace rev

nepalover, congratulation on being safe and being able to avert such close encounter. Now getting back to reality, somebody cuts you @ 70 and you move to shoulder instead of hitting on a brake (O: .. no offense unless you were going on a car race how do you even know shoulder was safe to slide over to. natural reaction would be to speed down rather than move aside (O: hoina ra !!!! me being where entry lane merges into the incoming traffic of a highway and 95 nightmare.... along with 91-93-84 ... all i can suggest is. watch traffic in "all of your three mirrors." and try to follow the traffic rather than trying to beat them by racing.... ====================================================
