Yeah, let us tread the line carefully, no hurting of sentiments for reason of fun.
Muslims have abstained from image or idol worship and hence depicting a sketch as Prophet Mohamed was not a nice thing to do, the sketchers could have done anything with Bin Laden's potrait.
Now, we need to be careful that we don't add fuel to the ethnic flame of sentiment, for that will not help our cause in any way, not when own home is in tatters.

I wonder what Nepali muslims think about this. I am sure there are some here at Sajha.

Its about the time the whole world united against this kind of fanaticism.

It seems the muslims think they can get away with anything if they do something in the name of religion. The world should unite against these evil creatures who go on to wreak havoc just because some newspaper printed cartoons depicting some bloody religious figure.

Your posts only show the dismal state of your intellect! These cartoons were nothing more than Islamophobia at its worst and for you to start a thread on Sajha inciting others to comment by poking fun and abusing Muslims is just as heinous.

Like nepaali said, I also dont see the need to post the cartoons here in Sajha just to slag them off.

But we, I mean the rest of the world, should boycott their products. Now you have less incentive to use petrol too. That is the way to fight back.

The patheticism of our present state of the world. I see lot of people hate MUSLIMS. Well, I would like to poke on them. you hate MUSLIM as in MUSLIM religion or you hate MUSLIMS as in clergymen and fanatics who incite the populace with their aggressive tone of behaviour. Belief is one thing, treading is another. Ayotollah Khomeini put a bounty on the head of Salman Rushdie for (allegedly) remarking on a Muslim prophet. We all know that Rushdie is a Muslim too. Before we say MUSALTE and BANGURE, I guess we should draw a fine line between TRUE MUSLIM and FANATIC MUSLIM ( i e people who put religious reasons for every act of degradation).
IMAGINE, Hindu religion is our religion. We worship our deities and live our lives (marginally) in accordance with our RELIGIOUS CODES. Remember the 92 -93 riots in Bombay. If you don't remember, research it and think it over. You will get the anwer.
Personally, I believe Muslim people are as good as us. We, common people who work for our livelihood, not We who put a gun in our hands and go on a rampage for a cause. Cause is a term to go astray. OUR MAIN CAUSE IS TO LIVE AND LET OTHERS LIVE, as peacefully as we can..
Terrorists, Insurgents, Guirellas..no matter what we call them, they have a cause.Everybody has a cause. A cause; fulfilled with blood of innocent people ,often termed as collateral damage. View all this from a perspective of a father, a mother, a brother, a sister, a husband, a wife. What do we need to live our life peacefully. Hatred and Blood or Peace and Food?

We are not calling "fatwa" against muslim here, like they did. We are validly and maturely trying to argue that the muslim community should start respecting other community and religion, if they want same.

- A muslim artist draw naked durga no one from muslim community condems
- Historical monument of budha get destroyed non of a singe muslim condem the act
- Many innocent people are killed cruely execution style no one condems

So now few reporters draw a funny cartoon they try to burn the whole world down. I respect danish and swedish government and people's decision not to apologize. It is not their mistake, again neither reporters they were exercising their right.

Muslim around the world have proved they were right. Every drawing makes sense.

I know all muslims are not bad, everyone leading muslim community are worst. Most of the government most of religious leader.

They think world is theirs to call Jihad and Fatwa everytime they like.

I think Muslims are the root cause of terrorism and they should be punished. Most of the terrorism is associated with Muslims.

I am too suppoter of freedom of speech and writing but with a responsibility.
Freedom of write doesn't mean I can hurt somebody's feelings, there is a big difference and u need to learn regarding that.
