khaobaadi: Fully support your opinion !! Can anybody post pictures of casualties or injuries in the police force?? Why do the f'kin protestors have to stone the police; what's the point?? It's their duty to follow orders from the authorities and they are just following their duties. Does it makes sense to burn telephone booths? or Stone innocent police force??

There are pictures of the protestors beating up the police as well. But lets look at these two pictures, one is police helping helping a protestor, while other is a protestor helping an injured police.

WTF i agree . Why do anybody needs to burn telephone booth in so called SHANTIPURNA andolan. If the protestor dont hit stone to police, police would have come and taken them to jail in a big truck without any big casualities. So often, it is few of the hooligans in the protestors which starts stoning the police. Police are only taking action in retaliation. Having said that i cannot justify the brutality of police as well. But one thing we have to see is that police has been severly injured as well.

bul'shit....by the time when we should be discussing about development and growth, we are just fighting for stability and peace......have i said too much in saying that we are going backwards this is kofi annan's statement on nepal crisis "While maintenance of law and order is the responsibility of the state, security considerations should not be the basis for denying citizens their right to peaceful protest -- a right for which virtually all avenues seem to be closing," .

Where are the Netas?? I have not seen a single Neta or the so called chamcha karyakartas in any of the pictures. All I can see are the innocent and ignorant people who even dont know what is democracy. Where are they hiding?? This is too much. They call the people to take part in the andolan and to break the carfue but they are all hiding. Why will they come out - they cant get killed or handicapped, they have to become ministetrs. I am in support of the peoples movement against autocracy but in the movement like this where the netas are resting and innocent peple are suffering. The guy who died in Pokhara was a shopkeeper, so was the guy who died in Kavre. All the others in the pictures also look like unemployed and uneducated people who do not why they are doing all this. And they are never going to enjoy the fruit of this andolan. Shame on you all "Netas"

Many, but not all, of those waving party flags and chanting slogans are party affiliated. There are quite a few netas amongst them too. Also, lots of political activists have been arrested by the government and are in custody. The reason you are seeing more ordinary people than politicians is becasue this movement is now full blown and has caught the imagination of a lot of ordinary folks around the country. When was the last time people took to the streets in places like Jumla and Humla?

gundaa I have stated I am never against the protest to restore democracy. Power should be handed to the people. I spoke out what ever I saw in the picture I did not see a single neta there. But I am not in support for this kind of andolan. The people in the pictures look like majdurs to me who have do work every day feed their family. this andolan will be finshed one day our netas will become ministers and sansads, again pajero will be there for them, for sure but what about them? Who is going to ern for their family if they are handicapped?????? Truely speaking dont you think if one central neta had died instead of the general public the revolution would have speeded 10 times than now??????????

To restore democracy, I think that the leaders that were there before have to leave and let the new generation take over. Leaders like Makuney, Girija, Deuba... they need to let go of their greed for power if not for money and let the new generation take over. I am certainly against the alliance with Maoist. In my view, the leaders are not fighting to restore democracy in Nepal but to fulfill their greed of power which they have already tasted in the past 12 years. But these kind of events will obviously occur as two big forces collide.. .i am amused that the number of deaths were so less. Curfew with shoot at sight ma if someone tries to defy then yeah obviously there will be casualties. I just don't trust these leaders, they are not representing or trying to feel the pain of the common people.. they are just power greedy manipulative propogandanists.
