A Nepali woman can dress up in western outfits and look smart n beautiful . The advantage she has is that she can look simply fantastic even in Nepali dress
like saree with all bangles, hair-do, lipstick, jewellery. It visually excites me
more than a bikini clad one!

I really dun understand why nepali ppl feel the need to speak in english with each other specially those recently arrived frm nepal. I wasn't raised in Nepal yet i can speak clear nepali and i also know that my nepali frens who were also not born in nepal make the effort to try n speak nepali.
I think its a shame that nepali ppl themselves feel superior when speaking in english.
Just a thought.

When it comes down the very core, the very essence, it just depends on the two individuals who are in relationship.

Does not matter if he is Nepali and she is not. Does not matter if he is from Montreal and she is from Swaziland. Does not matter if he is brown and she is black. Does not matter if he speaks Chinese with broken Japanese and she speaks Polish with broken Russian. Doesn't matter if his mother will not let them in the house as a married couple and her father has threatened to shoot him on sight. IT JUST DOES NOT MATTER.

Beyond that core, Nepali in general find it easier to associate with another Nepali due to shared culture, values and background. That's all.

Now about Nepali women, there are those whose mere sight makes your heart beat like damphu and there are those whose face and behaviour not only insult your eyes but also leave an indelible imprint of disgust in your heart. Hey, wait a minute, that's how it is with any person, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, etc.

Having said that, I do find women in sari quite attractive.

No, Nepali women are different, sorry pal. They are much more special than anyone from Swaziland or someone with a broken Japanese accent. You might not agree, but I know many people and families who do.

Well said nep grl, i agree with ur views. I think nepali ppl speak english to feel better about themselves. English is just a language and u need to use the language that u are best at while communicating. I prefer speaking speaking nepali everytime im around Nepalis. At work its a different thing.

People who are really good at speaking english, like urself who were born and raised outside of Nepal dont even care much about speaking english everywhere for show off purposes. But some Nepalis who move out of nepal adult are so keen to express their good, not so good, bad, and horrible english. No wonder why they say "little learning is a dangerous thing"

Well i mean I agree with you guys but at the same time you cant really blame ppl for using english especially when they are living in the US. Nepalese communities in the US are pretty close knit and small so I mean its only a natural reaction that they are gonna speak it mostly when in comparison to Nepali, but I think its disrespectful to speak English to someone older than you. Young kids are okay but people the same age and older as you? it should be pure nepali.

I guess nepalis who don't prefer to speak in nepali are suffering from inferiority complex. They feel their language is inferior...so they pretend to be superior by speaking in english :D

Imitate American accent faster than Nepalese men, have attitude equal to or more than Nepalese men, think they look better than what they really are.. But still I like them.
