I am writing this article not for me to be viewed as a chauvinist but out of compassion for the struggle that the female gender is staring in the name of feminism. Lets begin with the functionality of gender in the society. God has created two genders with individual social responsibilities. They have their own chemical, biological and hence physical limitations on each other. A man is not given the physical ability to reproduce while he is capable of more strenuous work. The "equality of the genders" needs to be an understanding that comes through education and not through a social mob struggle.

By fighting for the so called rights, I pity the women who are doubling their efforts of existence. They cannot dispense their motherly instincts. At some point of time they need a man in their life. They need to think about a family as a conviction for a social living. Having said that about women, I also stress the need for a women in a man's life. The man needs her more than a woman needs him. The existence is mutual. No one is superior to the other.

I do not say that women should not go to school. Education is the only means that people can understand the idea of equality. The priority is what matters. For a women, and her smooth living , the social responsibility needs more attention than her corporate personality. A women in social responsibility fills the position of her partner's mother to pour affection, a sibling that can understand his anger vents and above all be a good partner too. When the adaptation needs quite a substantial amount of time, the smoothness of the operation is hindered by the choice of pursuing corporate goals. Is it not double work now for the women? Work for a company and work for the family...? The struggle seems to me like a means of escaping family responsibility more than struggle for equality.

I see the "career" women affecting the society in two ways. They will not be satisfied with equality. They ask for more. A female manager in the Fortune #7 looks for a partner in Fortune #1.As an effect, not only have they contributed to the increase in competition towards the survival of the fittest but have mounted more pressure on the the more responsible gender of the society. The other aspect is their neglect of the social responsibility that soon vents out as frustration. From the aspect of the males, they need to view it as a responsibility to house a family and not restrict the freedom of his dependents. Its difficult but I perceive it smoother than the struggle.

There is one understanding and everything else will fall in place.

I think we are digressing from the topic. I ain't disrespecting women. My mother was a women, that suffices my rational for adoring and respecting women.

The article is just intended to give an insight to some bitter facts that we 21st centurians are skeptical at admitting with. No one is denying the importance of a woman in man's life or vice versa. Personally speaking, no one should give a damn about who elizabeth hurley or Howard Stern are engaged with, at least I don't.

The thing is, we are ignoring or failing to admit the repurcussion by shedding equal rights to both genders. I am not for or against anyone, but I believe in the notion "right person should be at the right place". How would you feel when you see an ineligible woman enjoying the luxury of a CEO of a fortune 1 company while you, in spite of being smarter, have to work under her?

Moreover, IMO and generally speaking, women are no good as a career person. All they are good at is putting sunscreen and foundations and flirt around with good-looking men with thick pocket. This is a general trend. Of course, exceptions are bound to happen.

It's the nature or something else, but my experience tells me that no matter how big a woman is in terms of career and education, they need a petty reason to gossip and indulge themselves in trivial and hence meaningful stuffs.

I can talk in this issue for all night long, but I expect more genuine counter arguments, else who wants to stay awake?

but that aside, lets start this new revolution with you ok. ask your sisters to dump thier certificate (she won't need it to complete her household "duties", give up her ambitions or her current job and stay home and feed her husband from dawn to dusk. set up an example for the rest of us to follow.

FYI, I have research data and statistics to back up my claim, however I don't find the necessity of posting it here. And no, I am not the only one who claims this. There are men aplenty. Some are bold who put forth the opinion, some are skeptical and some are unaware.

I think it is very interesting topic for discussion. Its always hard for women to work outside and as well as carry out social responsibilities. Especially in a country like Nepal where marriage is still done in a very traditional method. For example in Nepal a married women marries not just the husband but the whole clan....NOT EVEN JUST THE FAMILY...think about the social pressure for an educated women who is thinking to get married. She is also supposed to behave in a certain way e.g always bowing to the husband's family...(nothing wriong with bowing to ur elders) but still....
And I also think that men do not want to take challenges by marrying very Independent carrier women. Isn't that one of the reasons why so many men from America (American men) are bringing brides from East Asian countries. Even they are not willing to take challenges. I can see that there are so many websites that advertise Chinese, Russian,Filipina Japanese etc wives.
I personally think that carrier orientd women should actually not consider marriage, as it will be too hard for to position herself in hte family. instead she should think of having family through other means. Like adoption of children there are so many poor children in this world who need home and I think women should consider this. Why should there be more births in this world when so many children are already starving.

No offense but I think that all the men that fuss about marrying a career woman are just lazy people who think that their wife should stay at home and tend after kids and cook them a good meal rather than share the responsibility. I mean come on... just because your woman earns the same way you do does not cause a turmoil at home. You can always share the responsibilty and take turns doing the chores. Specially the women of todays world are just as hard working and work their butts off to get their degree. So should she ignore her diploma and stay at home based on some data?

I mean okay I grant you that maybe if both the parents are working then the children get to spend less time with them. But if there is a good understanding then the parents can always work it out. Advancement of woman are unstoppable but these recent changes in the structure of the society has taught people how to compromise in relationship..yes it has not been perfect but men understand they have equally responsibilty in household activities as women.If women has job then she cannot run away from her family responsibilities..it is more difficult phase for woman then man.It is applaudable that woman are managing it .yes we see highly ambitious woman are highly dissatisfied and so goes for men too.If one doesn't learn to adopt into changing social structure then he/she will only be loser.To come out as winner in family as and career men and women should have better understanding and commitement..else those who fail are losers!!!there were losers and there are losers and their will be one...just have to put extra work to be winner in 21st century.
