Newar people in kathmandu have bourgeois mentality. They are very racist in terms of caste. Majority of the newar community in kathmandu have traditional conservative views, which will be the major hinderance for the new nepal. But that doesn't apply to all new generation in the newar community, who are more liberal and apt to the new changes.
Being the original inhabitant of the valley, newar community can play important role in the new nepal. however, the new nepal should give same priority to all the people regardless of caste, color or race.
Newar people can do equally well in all the facets of development of the country. Most importantly, decentralization should be given priority in new nepal. This will create just and good environment in the all round development of the new nepal.
Newar community have rich heritage, they are good in business, arts and culture, rich variety of cuisine, as well as farming and other skills. Their skillls should be utilized in the entire new nepal. This will create the entire Nepal rich in arts and sculpture, which kathmandu is famous for in the World.

Nepal needs new modern age thinking in order to head in the right direction. Separation and division of Nepal has led to the current conditions. We have to get rid of the 'us and them' attitude because in the big picture it is only "US" and "OURS" who have to gain from the betterment of our country as a whole. Nepalis for a better Nepal - we don't need any divisions among us in this regard.

One must be aware on the fact who is responsible to raise this debate to this height. We can talk ideal principles but we can't live ideal life, neither we can tolerate as budhdha did with the racist slurr and hate. The truth in nepalese society is that we do have the racist hatred rooted very deep and that is not easy to wash out away or simply forget them.

I have noticed in countless no. of threads, discussion forums, face-to-face debates, articles etc. that a certain no. of non-newar want to prove that newars are very racist, newars discriminate non-newars, newars do not tolerate non-newars and so on. They come with some examples which ultimately turns to be nothing, the one like hulaki presented above (OK, Mr, hulaki, how much your money was taken and was not paid off? do you have any proof with you? just don't try to say you were cheated by newars. One can produce tonnes of blame with anonymous name if s/he need no proof. So, such a vague blame is worthless and total bullsheet). To tell the truth, such a constant attack against newars has made newars more aggressive and distrustful against non-newars these days more than any time in the history. Also, that has impacted to build stronger bond between newars, which could lead to naji or jews' bond in near future. Yet, newars are loyal to all, flexible and soft-liners compared to any other race or community in Nepal. These bastard newar-haters want newars to behave like madeshi forum people or kirat ultra-rightist, who demand their own territory and who dreams wiping out others from the area of their majority population. But, newars will never go for that, and perhaps the newar-haters understand that fact too. Thats why the newar-haters maliciously use phrases like "neither fish nor meat", "can't be trusted" etc. to blame against newars.

So, I argue, ultra newar-haters, who put their all effort against newars, are the main culprit to deepen the racial / communal divide, which is already in worse condition in Nepal. It has been proved in time and again that unless we succeed to discourage such ultra newar-haters, we won't be able to preventing such a racial fuss to upraise .

Newar community has recognized this fact for centuries. I have argued several times that Kathmandu valley was USA of 21st century back in 15-16th century in Asia. People from all corners of the Indian subcontinent were brought there and got environment to co-exist by maintaining their identity and their own culture. The valley was a melting pot, that recognized the contribution of people from all race and cultural background. For example, newar-muslims speak newari, they are still able to practice their own muslim culture even after being detached with their original muslim habitat for several century. Remind you, newars have a culture of inclusive participation and building a resonance with any other culture in flexible and mutually agreeable way. Also, remind you that all non-newars do not hate newars but the ultra-racist non-newar try to provoke the kind-hearted non-newar by repeatedly saying racist proverbs like "newar ista hudaina" and so on. They try to frighten normal people to deal with a newar and gradually build a racist community. So, they are the main culprit in dividing the society to much worse direction.

Whether you are a newar or not, it does not matter, but be clear you don't need to hesitate to deal with a newar believing such a stupid proverb, which has to be treated like "nappy-headed hoe" in the US. If you are a newar-hater, then keep posting bullseet in sajha or elsehwere against newars; that will not even shake a piece of androgenic hair of any newar or their progress.
