KG to The Knickerbockers?? What are the Dolans thinking?? We already have the leagues highest salary payout (3.5 tmes that of the Charlotte Bobcats) and we're looking to add another high paying superstar who would just be another average player once he starts playing in Bball's Mecca (e.g: Jalen Rose a yr ago, Francis, Nazr Md., etc.). The NY way of life: partying and night-life, negatively correlates to their NBA performance. I'd say the Knicks gotta cut theri payroll and start building the team anew through rookies (ala the Bulls, Jazz). No Garnett for me...KG's and Starbury's chemistry didn't work in Minnesota, what makes anyone think it would here?? Total BS!

Exactly...as per my earlier post, it makes no rational sense to get KG here at all. He's better off where he is.

Fuchey Haru ho!!! Stop screwing around -- KG gotta be in NY if he wants to get any where -- big time endorsements will follow - Nike will give him 100M endorsement as soon as he lands in LGA. He is going to force a trade to NY. As i said earlier, listen to the Pro like myself who has over 15 years of expertise in NBA Analysis. Also Samsarey --- KG and Strawbery's Chem was working pretty tight in MN. Starbury left because he wanted to make more money --- again listen to the pro.

Wherever KG goes, I hope he wins a ring... he deserves it... and no, if he stays in MN, he will never win one.

i agree with beltran, marbury really messed up when he left mn... that was a dynasty in the making... the only weakness garnet has is his reluctance to take over.... and instead be a "team" player... it was an amazing combo because marbury was the opposite... he loved taking the big shots... dont know if u guys remember how he used to kill my beloved spurs back in the day... he even did it when he was in phoenix...

Bel-tranny, your analysis makes no sense. Why would the Dolan's even consider getting the league's highest paid player when the Knicks have the league's highest payroll and no playoff season for the past 2 years?? The Knicks have been saying that they need to cut payroll for the past few months (are you living under a rock)!! The Knickerbockers are a for profit organization and getting a Garnett is more of a liability. Why? Look at Starbury's and Eddy Curry's (even Jamal Crwaford) #s this season...Better or as good as the KG/Starbury combo AND STILL NO PLAYOFFS!! I still say getting KG is a deal that will never materialize. The Knicks gotta cut their payroll drastically and build anew with rookies and younger players around Starbury. If they don't do that then the soon to be Brooklyn Nets would take over their turf!! C'mon this is a business and also, money that KG receives for an endorsement is KG's only. The Knicks get nothing of it!!

Samsara... i dont think u fully understand the situation... 1. minnesota will not let kg walk and get nothing back in return 2. it will be a trade 3. for a trade to happen, salaries have to match 4. the knicks are better off say shipping crawford and curry for kg... since their combined salaries will match kg's 5. so dolan is just getting rid of two bad contracts and getting one huge contract in return marbury and kg will not only make the playoffs they d go all the way to the finals... on the eastern conference, are u kiddiing me when u say they would nt make the playoffs?

Sleepyspur, Marbury and KG to the finals re??? Make the playoffs first...They got killed back then (during their prime), what makes you think they could take on the more elite teams in the East?? Also, who's gonna take the Knicks inflated salaries (thats what I was getting at here...c'mon everyone knows the 101s of trading players)?? Who in the right mind would take a Crawford and a Curry for Garnett?? Knicks stand to lose a lot (first round drafts, salary buyouts, etc.) just as what happened with LJ, Houston, Jalen Rose, etc.

this is just speculation... plus crawford and curry is not a bad deal... since they get two young players.. and especially curry... people thing he s valuable coz he has size and can score.... the 3 yrs that marbury played in minnesota, that happend to be the time when the west was just over-powering... the 3rd year they did lose in the first round... to the eventual champs... its an open secret that the east was always shallow in the post-mj era... and it still is... dont tell me a team with marbury and garnett in the east cant make the playoffs... or even the finals... their only tough task would be detroit... but we all know what garnet has been doing to webber during c-webb's time in sacramento... sorry, i digress... but i hope my point is clearer.... finals is a stretch.... but conference finals would b a GUARANTEE

Sleepyspur, all I can say is for an NY team to make the finals, they would have to move the wholr org atleast three hours away from the city. As per my earlier post: "The NY way of life: partying and night-life, negatively correlates to their NBA performance." However, you say that mediocre players like Crawford and Curry for superstar Garnett is a good deal??? Minnesota is gonna ask much much more than that and ultimately the Knick are gonna end up with a bigger payroll than before!

Fuchey haru --- still dont make sense!!! Learn my friends Learn!! Knicks payroll will go down significantly from next season. As you know Houston Retire- and his deal will retire this year, Rose got bought out and contract expired, francis will be traded or bought out. from 120M to 80M. its 40M savings - you can even try to get Shaq wit that, Shaq might get traded soon or later. again listen to the pro!!! Samsarey moola --- ta bacha chas kya --- it will take sometime to grow up buddy thanks Ganesh

Well, its ok to justify your logic Beltran, but give me one good free agent signing/trade that has happened under Issah's rule in New York.....It's the Issah Thomas curse....where ever he goes, he brings the franchise down...haven't we seen this before?? From CBA to Indiana Pacers, and now the Knicks......Granted he was a great player and all that, but he is a below average GM/Coach...Oh, you can have Shaq.....I heard Mavs might be in the mix for Shaq.....Unfortunate but this Shaq guy keeps milking on his performance 4 years ago....haven't done much lately....

Bel-tranny paakhay, as Houston said earlier, YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT! hahahah Your so called profound "Pro" knowledge makes no sense now. You're saying Knicks could get Shaq?? hahaha Ok, we get KG, Shaq, and who?? another free agent, VInce Carter?? Damn, you're saying as though the entire All Star team is gonna be here playing for the Knicerbockers next year!! All I can say is your analysis SUCKS BIG time!! I've had enough of arguing that KG coming to the Knicks would be the worst decision ever. And yeah, Get a life instead of calling yourself a pro. You listen to the Pros and you WISH you could be like them! hahahahhaha
