very very sad news, I am still thinking, how hard has it been with his family and loved ones back home in nepal. All dreams and hopes shattered at a moment. So painful.

By the way, what was the reason he was shot? All other guys who are working in such a risky environment, please think of protecting yourself. Don't lose ur passion to care yourself a little more.

Guys there is no option for us. however why dont we try to do something like sending delegation to Whitehouse and INS demanding at least 20Hrs/week off campus job for onternational students. This would however minimize our risk of being killed n shot. We must do something guys. Long story short, May his departed soul rest in heaven peacefully.

It is a shame that his life has to come to an end that way. It could have been any other Nepalese student on his shoes. I can’t imagine the pain his family must be going through at this time. I don’t even know if there is anything that can be done to avoid a situation like this besides being alert while working at places like gas station and avoiding night shifts. May his soul rest in peace! For other Nepalese working in gas stations “Remember that your safety is the first priority…and fucck Dhoti”

Very sad News.....Kale are Assholes.\\-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BEDFORD -- A gunman fatally shot a convenience store clerk Monday afternoon and left with two other men just seconds before a group of children walked into the neighborhood shop, police said.

The children did not see the slain clerk on the floor at D&S Food Mart because they couldn't see over the counter, police said.

But a customer walked in while the kids were still inside. He called 911 about 4:40 p.m., after he looked over the counter and found the clerk's body, police said.

The customer reported seeing three men leaving in a gold 1980s Chevy Suburban and heading east on Pipeline Road, Bedford Deputy Police Chief Roger Gibson said.

Police identified the victim as Raj Bhansi Gauran, 28.

Customers and neighbors of the store called Gauran "a very kind man."

Customer Regan Zuber said Gauran sometimes gave her a loan for cigarettes.

"It would just be for two or three hours, and when I got the money, I'd go back and pay him," said Zuber, 32, who lives across the street from the store. "He was just a good guy."

Zuber said she tried to get a job at the store, 1501 E. Pipeline Road.

"I asked him on Friday if they would hire me," Zuber said. "He said no because it was too dangerous."

All evening customers stopped by the store to console Gauran's friends and relatives, who waited outside as authorities investigated.

No customers were inside at the time of the shooting, police said.

A surveillance video shows two men inside the store at the time of the shooting, Bedford Lt. Kirk Roberts said.

At some point, one man jumped over the counter while the other man ran around the counter, police said.

In one frame, one man appeared to have kicked Gauran while he was on the floor and then kneeled down beside him.

Both men were wearing white T-shirts, police said. One wore a baseball cap, and the other had on a designer-style hat, police said.

Roberts also said that investigators wouldn't know until at least today whether anything was stolen.

"Right now, we don't know if there was any type of weapon that the clerk may have been trying to get to from behind the counter," Roberts said.

The store is at Pipeline Road and Columbus Court, across from a tennis court, numerous apartments and a park, and just down the street from Central Junior High School.

It is too bad news. My condolence to the family members.
Most of we know that working at gas station is dangerous but what to do without working? more flexible, more pay and less labour attracts to the store.
And can you start a new thread about the precautions to be taken while working?
Or is it better to leave the job ?
