A person claiming to be 'Trishul Baba' who had predicted that a catastrophic earthquake would hit Nepal on Friday has been arrested by police. Baba was arrested from Gongabu after local people thrashed him, Friday morning, for spreading baseless rumors aimed at creating panic among the general people. Baba had predicted that hundreds of thousands of people would die from the disaster that would strike on Friday morning. He had predicted that disasters would strike till next two weeks.

Katziman said, It’s amazing that when trusted people dump catastrophes in the country one after another without any prediction or whatsoever, they get to sit on the parliament and run the country, and when some psycho’s prediction does not come true, he gets arrested.... I add, Now the flood has hit Nepal, India and Pakistan as badly as this guy predicted. The time frame of his prediction was almost true in Pakistan and it slightly missed in Nepal and India. Everything happened within the margin of about 2 weeks time shift (+/- error), which can be regarded as a highly successful prediction if a climate model had made such a prediction. There are many global climate modellers with latest advanced simulation system supported by satellite and data assimilation technologies, but none were able to identify the risk of recent torrential downpour and issue a warning beforehand. They could not predict such a disastrous monsoon for this year. When I hear the interviews of the Indian/Nepalese meteorologist, I can smell a shear lack of confidence on what they are talking about except mixing up of some technical jargons on top of common peoples' voice. It seems they don't have as much knowledge as this uneducated guy. How come this guy knew that so early? Is this just a mere coincidence?
