And if it did happen, then Indian civilization should be most civilized and educated scoiety. If Mahahrat is real then and if it happened 5000 years ago, then why dont modern scientist trace the origin of inian civilization or about Mahabharat?

When human in rest of the world were still living in the caves, people in Indian region were able to write Ramayan and Mahabharat? IS it possible?

If its real, why arent they mentioned in Western course book in universities or in western books. And if they are not real, why are we taught about those stories since we were kid and make us beleive that!!!!!!!!!

I think it's real but as you say in nepali "ek kaan 2 kaan maidan", that what happened to the story. There might have been a Mahabharat or Ramayan but as the story passed on to the future generation the storyteller might have exaggerated it in order to make it more interesting. You can see a real example of this in the current situation of sai baba. He is said be a god or something but he was caught red handed for doing cheap tricks. For people who believe in him, he is a god and they will exaggerate his story to others by saying that they saw him in the moon, fruits etc. Similar things happened in the past too.

If you look at any mythology. There are places that still exist today mentioned in most of them. But like playing the wispering game. A lot of them were passed down the history of time orally. And if anyone has played the wispering game as a kid. Like you could start off by saying I hd apple with my lunch.... could end up being I grew an apple at lunch(even though its impossible, but to take it literally would be like those right wing Christian extremist or like the Muslim extremist who always misterpret the Quran to fit their needs).

Bed, Mahabharat and ramayan are really good stories though they could be realistic or hypothetical. Evenif it was not real there thought was great. Present technology is very near to these hypothesis.
Try to read 'Bed ma ke chha?' by swami prapannacharya.

Coming back to the topic, I firmly believe that Mahabharata and Ramayana are significant in a few ways! First, it is an epic of the World's third most popular religion. Second, just like LOTR and Harry Potter ( Massive fan of both of 'em ) , I fancy reading Mahabharata and Ramayana in spite of not being a hindu! They're great to read, have significant values in terms of moralities and the heroics of the legends or the heroes send great messages that people can implement in their lives!
But talking in a realistic sense, Mahabharata and Ramayana are fictions or fairy tales! Surely, a guy turning into man of iron ( half iron- Duryodhan after his mom doing something )?! Ram flying?! An arrow good enough to cause rainfall? People turning into animals after (shraps) ? Hanuman being able to pahads?!

Two factors deposit Mahabharat and Ramayan into the category of figment of the imagination: lack of physical evidences and inconceivable biology described in the books. So, its indifferent to any science fiction. But, having said that, a Hindu will not stop believing the myths, and if an individual is happy with that why the hell should others be concerned.
