Just to let you know - beware of muncha house if you're thinking of sending presents on Father's day, its happened couple of time to me and other friends of mine, they deliver the present after the father's day or mother's day or after Dashain and gives reasons like there were band and protest and chakka jam and bla bla bla which actually is right in few cases only...............

given nepal is a small market and and given there is lack of proper infrastructure, its commendable that they have been around.

there is a reason san's gift site was down..and a good reason that these sites have been around....

When i was i nepal i went to visit both companies and was equally impressed by their future vision...

you don't like their service, complain them try to get favorable results.. .or as a modern day customer there is always another competititor waiting to get your dough! dont trash them here and make unnecessary comments.

KUDOS To MUNCHA HOUSE for opening up a service for ppl like us who're abroad to send gifts back home! For unhappy customers, go buy gifts on your own, go to DHL or FedEx and send them that way. YOU do have a choice and be glad that a service like such exists. Yet another KUDOS for being THE PIONEER.

Obviously, there will be cases where customers will complain NO MATTER WHAT. Sadly, most of the times, they are incompetent competitors who'll use a public thread as this to strategize their sale. TSK TSK TSK! For the rest, its given, the whining i.e.

I say this because I use their service ALL the time and I'm 110 percent happy. I've never used others, have no reason to, so far. And with this thread, they'll only be better (if they read this).

Gunupati Clown, what do you know? Not much evidently. Shabby, let me be the first one to bring it to your attention, they've already "progressed" a long way. Now its your turn to progress in writing at the minimum. And WTF is "eat" money? You "ATE" a lot o money, is that the reason you look so "GREEN". I'd LOVE to learn how to EAT money too. But if that means my writing will be like yours, I'll rather 'starve'.

I value good service such as Muncha and my experience (including writing) way too much for an exchange of knowing how to EAT" the GODDAMN MONEY! No thank YOU.

ZERO in terms of money but gazillion dollars in terms of personal satisfaction by using the service. Any other question?

What is 110% satisfaction?

I have used Muncha several times. Never had any problem but once, my mothers day gift was deliverd 4 days before the actual day. I have requested video of the POD but they never posted me the link but still charged my credit card. I complained about the situation and the manager called me around 2 am in the morning apologising. Damn, they should have known the time difference. Anyway insted of refund for the video they send my mom some sweets, (Mithai) and they told me Video service is not available in Pokhara. So why take the money in first place knowing that the service is N/A. When I ask them about early delivery they said that they received more orders than expected so had to do the delivery early. What an excuse.

I will use them again as I have got no other choice but not for special occasions (chad parba)

I used both thamel.com and mucha.com once each.
muncha.com delivered the goods exactly on the perfect time.fully satisfied with their service.

Thamel.com messed up all the surprises. They were supposed to deliverd a SAREE & a CAKE  to my Girlfriend on her birthday. to my surprise they called her the previous day to inform that the saree i choose is out of stock so that she need to go to the boutique to choose the saree.....The Cake  was supposed to deliverd in her office at 1.00pm but was delivered to her father at home at 7.30pm....Moreover the cake which they delivered should read

Considering the internal turmoil in our country and the fact the muncha house is still trying its best to satisfy customers at home and abroad I wish them luck and my support goes out to dear Ujjwal who is the sweetest person I've met in this universe and hope he is able to pull through the crisis and will outshine and flourish. It is indeed easy to critisize but knowing the situation please be more considerate to all those who are trying to provide us with service.

dimple, although I concur with you, I'd recommend you to be aware of the difference between MUNCHA HOUSE and MUNCHA DOT COM. While they operate under the same parent company, I believe Muncha "House" and "dot com" is the differentiator.

How do I know? I pay attention to detail if you haven't noticed already. And don't get too personal here. I'll take your word that the person you're referring is "sweet" but the topic revolves around the SERVICE of MUNCHA DOT COM rather, with which I'm 110 percent satisfied.

i don't know about you guys, but my gifts have always been delivered on time. So was it today......

I dunno if they read this thread on Sajha but my last order went through in a very orderly fashion. The surprise was not spoilt and the delivery was dot on time (in fact 2 minutes early - I was on the phone talking to my family when the goods were delivered).

On another note, I think it's good that people are speaking up about their experiences - perhaps some good will come out of it all if the people from these businesses hear such feedback and act on it.

I have used them several times and my experiences have been seamless. I don't necessarily say that some people might have different experience. It's also your expectation - people expect more but may not be deserving @ the price.
