a question - what was the scale and duration of the 90 saals earthquake?

I think it was 8.4 Richter scale.

One thing is certain, everyone knows about the possible scenario and consequences of a big one but not  much have been done.

yacc, despite my efforts to find the exact time on the internet, I couldn't find it. But according to hearsay, I think it was 1.5 minutes. (my grandparents used say)

1.5 minutes is a long long time for a 8.4 scale.. I remember waking up to 5-10 seconds mild shakes and someone shouting "Bhuichalooo" in the neighborhood...
