It is not right of anybody to come out against ethnic groups just because the administration tried to look away from you. It is the administration - the people in administration, and not the ethnic group that needs to be chased. There were lot of Newars supporting Maoist during the 12 years old struggle, those people need to be dragged out in amidst and asked to protest against the decision made by their administration.

I believe there would be a wide spread support from all walks of life and from all ethnic backgrounds to preserve Newari Culture-the prominent culture in Kathmandu valley,  but please do not bring out the racial and ethnic issues. There would be no difference between the madhesi demand for Madhesh Land and Newar’s demand for Cultural rights if the ethnic and racial issues are at stake. And the ultimate winners would be the ones trying to destabilize, disintegrate and ultimately wipe out the existence of Nepal.

So let us be united and think wise. Let us bring the country back to the track and prove that Nepalese are not just a heard of sheep. Let us show that we can rise to the occasion. And let us say “I support Newar’s Fight for Cultural Rights in Kathmandu.”

I have seen people who never understood what those old time Guthis were doing, and how the festivals and cultural heritage made sustainable in history. This whole episode has now brought these very important issues on surface.

I hundred percent agree with you Rahuldai. Like few leaders of other parties have said "Maoist are heading towards totalitarianism". News of Dr. Bhattarai threatening minister Gautam at the TIA is one clear example of where nepal is heading towards and what nepalease are going to get in the name of change and federalism. A minister of low portfolio (I guess) can threaten a minister of higher portfolio, then what can a innocent Nepali expect.

Riththe jasoos your example does not match this case. You could give any example to match your thinking. The fact is that newars never had the guts to face the guns. That is why they agreed to give away their land for such miniscule renumeration in the first place. As they say no guts no glory. People like bathroomcoffee feel it glorious to type something radical and blow thier own horns as Alexander the great for saying something any simpleton could get away with. It's the action that counts. Unless you are able to give your body out to help the cause that you are so emphatic about then your anonimous roars go unheard in the real jungle.

Everyone makes fun of newars and that is the base reality that has to be faced. Newars don't like conflicts that is why everyone is walking on their head. Every year they come out in motorcycle and cars crying nepal sambat rastriya sambat. Sarkara manyata biyema. It's a big joke they come out and shout out slogans this one day a year and they don't expect anything to happen. The rest 364 days of the year noone makes a squeak about this.
