I don't understand how this net run rate thing is calculated. Prior to yesterday's clash, Nepal was well and truly ahead of the US (1.36) and Singapore (1.12) with a 1.92 net run rate. Then having beaten by the US at almost 40 overs, Nepal's run rate dropped way down to 1.3 whereas the US's run rate increased just by a meager two decimal points to 1.37. Singapore beat Jersey comprehensively but their run rate increased just by a tiny 0.2 (to 1.34).
Anyway, Nepal is playing pretty well in the final. What a performance by the slow left arm bowler Vishwakarma whose extraordinary spell saw the collapse of the quite formidable US batting. Nepal's chasing 173 for victory and is quite well placed at 63/0 at the end of 15th over. We should win this one, if we bat sensibly.
