Maoist has proposed Chitwan as a new capitalof Nepal. I think this would be a great proposal for Nepal since kathmandu gets all the development plans than any other part in nepal. At least some other part and its surrounding area will have some more development. Secondly, Kathmandu is so populated and polluted. The increase in land price is outrageous. I think this is a great idea for the development of Nepal.

Maoists to propose Chitwan as federal capital of Nepal; claims other parties are also ‘positive’ about it
Ruling UCPN (Maoist) party has decided to table the proposal of turning Chitwan and its surrounding areas the federal capital of Nepal at the meeting of the major political parties.
The standing committee meeting of the party attended by the establishment faction led by chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister and party vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai on Tuesday decided to table the proposal of developing the area between Daunne in the west to Makwanpur in the east as the capital city of Nepal. The federal capital will be an exclusive entity and will not be part of any federal province.
The Wednesday's edition of Nagarik Daily reported that the Maoists decided to make Chitwan and its surrounding areas capital of Nepal after concluding that Kathmandu has become “very congested”.
There has been a decision to develop the area between Daunne in the west to Makwanpur in the east as the federal capital, Maoist standing committee member Amik Sherchan said.
He said that as it has become certain that the country is going into federalism, Chitwan has been proposed as the federal capital to clear the air regarding where to build the capital of the federal state.
The Maoists are of the view that since Kathmandu has become congested due to over population, Chitwan will be very appropriate as the capital of Nepal as it also lies at the center of country with easy access to all parts and regions.
Sherchan claimed that other political parties are also positive towards the Maoist proposal of making Chitwan capital of Nepal. nepalnews.com

काठमाडौँ सुन्दर सफा सहर लै फोहोर हुने कार्य चाही २०४६ पछि सुरु भएको हो... यसलाई नकार्नु हुदैन. काठमाडौँ सुन्दर सफा खुल्ला MUSEUM को रुप मा चिनिन्थ्यो , मन्दिर नै मन्दिर को सहर भनेर पनि चिनिन्थ्यो, जसलाई राम्रो प्रचार गरेर , नेपाल मा राम्रो आम्दानी को श्रोत बनाउन सकिन्थ्यो. तर २०४६ साल पछि क नेता हरु आफु पनि गाऊ जना छाडे, र आफ्नो गाऊ सहर को बिकाश गर्न छाडेर, गाऊ को आफ्ना कार्य कर्ता काठमाडौँ झिकाउने र, काठमाडौँ नै आउनु पर्ने बाध्यता लै कम गर्नु को साटो, सहर आउने पर्ने बाध्यता बढाउदै लागे . हरेक नेपाली हरुमा जसरि भए पनि काठमाडौँ मा घडेरी जोड्ने इच्छा बढ्न थाल्यो, नबढोस पनि कसरि, अलिकति बिरामी भए काठमाडौँ नै आउनु पर्ने, मास्टर गर्नु पर्यो काठमाडौँ नै आउनु पर्ने, आफ्नो नेता भेट्न, काठमाडौँ नै आउनु पर्ने. जसको परिणाम आज को काठमाडौँ हो... यसमा मा नेताहरु को को दोष देख्छु...हामी त सबै जनता हौ, जहाँ आफुलाई राम्रो हुन्छ त्यहाँ त जनै पर्यो नि.... अमेरिका जाने पनि त्यसैको लागि हो, काठमाडौँ आउने पनि त्यसैको लागि हो........

Fantush all kathmandu people and newars are not Kharpane so don't generalize. You may not be aware that some newars do business, some do farming and some do other things. The ones who do farming are kharpane the others are not. It shows your ignorance when you call everyone kharpane.

@bad boy , I didn't said to ktm pple or newars , i live in ktm but i don't name pple from outside valley "pakhe" so i tried to tell someone here in this thread calling name and generalizing pple outside the valley as "pakhe" is a racist term as well as i don't sit and listen this racist comments ,So if somone calls them a name "pakhe" and same way they may all you "kharpane" as well that's what i tried to tell the guy who don't have a bit of sense of what to speak in public place . sorry that you thought so but it's not a generalization.

I've been recommending any ppl visiting Nepal,
'pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, don't stay in kathmandu and just come bacckkkkkkkkkkkk, if possible don't even stay a night in Kathmandu, it's crazy hell out there, just go to the outskirt or mountain top or
anywhere except kathmandu as soon as you land on there.'.
wat else can I do, a lot of people think kathmandu is disgustingly disorganized but don't fall short on appreciating natural beauties beyond kathmandu.
Kathmandu truly has become mismanaged ugly looking most polluted city in past 20 years.
I was born and raised in Kathandu but I hate to write stuff like this. This is a bitter truth. Accept it.

Fantush, Pakhe is not about where you are from it is a state of mind. Your last 10 generations can be from kathmandu and you can still be a pakhe by the way you act and way you think. Don't act like one by becoming an ignorant racist and implying all newars are kharpane.

@bad boy , hellll No , how many times i have to tell u that ? , well i will tell u i grew up with lots of newars and japu friends in ktm and if any one of them says this term "pakhe" just to anyone i will tell them in their face the word "kharpane" ,so that they will understand outside the valley pple also all are not pakhe and don't act pakhe and shouldn't use this word to all ,if they use this word then they should digest the word whatever i said too.
