  I guess we need to see things as they are, not how we supposed them to be. The flood that have arose after her interview is definitely not going to help her in the march to the contest . She  need to be likeable ,not the subject of controversy and hatred. people are free to chose and the majority have negative views on the interview that implies that something is not right and again one can suggest but not force.

Bitter truth Dai, I dont know why you are turning a blind eye to the bitter truth of this whole situation, But let me tell you why people are not reacting to this situation like they did in prashant tamangs case. Prasant tamang was indian, he was part of a Hindi show but he was a proud Nepali. Even though he was carrying his Indian passport around, his Nepali swag was always there. He never hesitated to say his roots are Nepali. And even after the victory he didn't forget Nepal. Whereas in shristi's case, she is representing Nepal. Nepal gave her an opportunity to be where she is today and it seems she couldn't care less!
( so that makes her prashant tamang of UK, right??? )

I dont know why people are making such a FUSS about it. I do not hear her say anything like " I DO NOT WANT TO BE TAGGED AS NEPALI" nor do I hear her say " I am UNCOMFORTABLE talking about NEPAL". She said " I was born in nepal moved when i was 15 yrs and been living in UK for 9 yrs". Now stating the fact about her life is getting her tagges as UNPATRIOTIC or non Nepalese, then thats wrong. She is a Nepali hence became Miss Nepal, hence is going to Miss World representing NEPAL.

Stop assuming and just take whatever the interview says. Its complecated was for her families personal issues not for "me having issues with being tagged as Nepal"

You of all people who has an option to go back home and work there and improve Nepal,is Staying in a foreign land, and pointing a finger towards somone who is representing Nepal doesnt sound nor looks right. Gosh!!!!!! GROW UP!!!!!

I never ran after Prashant Tamang as i do not give a crap about who wins in Indian Idol. Indian Movie/TV industry is a garbage in garbage out industry to me. But i respect Prashant Tamang over this SUPERFICIAL UNGRATEFUL TRASH. Even though Prashant Tamang was an Indian by his nationality he proudly came out for Nepali identity. He did not call his forfathers Mongolians and were complicated. Shristi Shresta gave her Janajati father a good slap in the face by calling him Mongolian. What a disgrace to her father and the country she was born in.

Hey bitter truth, shristi might be wearing a Nepal tag on the outside. But if you look inside, she is carrying UK passport and travelling around the globe to represent Nepal. SHAME !

She could get lot carrying tag of UK, why do you think she's carrying NEPAL tag? What can she expect from this once war-ridden now economically collapsed country? Can you not use even a little bit of common sense? Nepal is not only yours, anyone who has root there have right to carry its name. 

I'm gonna strictly avoid all trolls and haters like you from now on. 

I stil do not understand why she is not doing another interview to clarify her citizenship and what country she represents. I do not think she gives a fk about what she said. She used Nepal to get on the platform as UK was not going to recognize her for shit.

Being honest, sometimes I just ignored your comments and thread( though u do some research before u post in mst of the comment).  I upvote this thread, and really appreciate what you are trying to do with this thread. 
 No matter what , she is the one who is representing Nepal in this miss world.  And seems like the interview was more than a year old but folks around here have nothing to do than to criticize.  If it was really a critical analysis, I would have appreciated but I dont think that is what going on here. 
Lots of people are talking about her english too, but I bet she is in top 10 percentile of all nepalese who can speak english that fluently, based on what I have seen and heard .
There was a time when Nepali were awarded by NASA, MIT and people here in sajha were bashin on them. So when someone achieve some success, it is our nature that we cannot stay without criticising them. This is the main problem in our government too, thats the whole reason we are still way behind most of the other countries ( except in freaking date, BS). 
If degrading her confidence ( though it does not seem like she is loosing any confident) is what you all think is the pure patroitism or Nepalism, go for it . But visit your psychologist IF you have any mental problem before your kids/family points it out (Assuming you let them think independently).
The chances of her winning any award is pretty low, but still she deserves some respect if you people know how to respect and whom to respect. 
If you cannot support, the best thing you can do for your country is to shut up rather than to criticize her,as this is now internatinonal representation. 

And some of us may need to see the youtube videos where she is trying to support lots of nepali in need. 
And for people who are judging based on one video, where she is speaking more of a fact tho, you guys are more fit in the nepali politics or Indian news reporter. I mean you qualify to add some minsitry in Nepal and unnecessary spices in news.

Sorry If I was hard against anyone personally.
