No need to send Photos, it is just waste of money and time. I sent photo to make sure, the application was complete. But after getting the notification letter, I realized that it was not necessary to send the photos. After you send your application and they accept it, they send you a notification letter. In this notification letter, they say like this: "You will be receiving a biometrics appointment notice by mail with the specific date, time, and place where you will have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken". So, no need to be in dilemma. "YOU DON'T NEED TO SEND YOUR PHOTO" "SAVE MONEY, LIVE HAPPY"

What do you put in for the Alien Number? Is it the USCIS # on my last OPT? By the way, My OPT has expired and I am not sure if that Alien Number is valid. Thank you for your help.

Leave it blank. If you are not sure what to write, leaving it blank must work mot of the times.

I would have left it blank. I did some research and it says it's the USCIS # on the OPT. SO I guess I will just put that even if it's expired. In 25.b, What did you put? I can't comprehend what the port officer put in for the i-94 expiry date. looks like it says 14, but more like child's scribble.

I think USCIS# in your OPT is your Alien number. For f1 student, in I94 it's mostly written D/S(Duration of Status), so use the date from your latest legal status you are allowed to stay in US.

@MimroRaMero When you receive the Biometrics appointment , Did you receive the email or mail notification? Also, EAD processing time is around 3 months.

When you fill up the form G-1145 (e-notification) that is only for the first time when they accept your document. After that they will not send any notification. But you can register on USCIS.gov and make an account. You can add your case and set up email/sms alerts, then they will send you any case updates. When they sent me biometric letter they did not send me any notification. There is no change in status either.

@khatebuda ( you got a funny name, made me chuckle!!) well i received a second notice to have my biometrics captured. I believe the one you are referring to is the acceptance notice. if it's so then you shall receive another letter(notice) for bimoterics soon. Good luck!!

TPS forms sent on: June 29th, received on July 1, notification on July 2 (email), paper notification on 7th, biometric fee withdrawn on 7th. Biometric appt received today for August 5th. Question: my mailing address (where my parents and brother are, in another state) and physical address (where I'm living now) are not same. Chances of moving was/is high, so I kept different mailing and physical address. My biometric appt is scheduled a/c to mailing address ( I thought they will do a/c to physical address). So, can I request to reschedule a/c to physical address? If I do so, will I get appint immediately? Coz I don't want to wait another 15-20 days again. I'm going to call USCIS but any suggestions or thoughts about this? Biometrics successfully done at another location: July 28 (appointment was 5th Aug, in another location). Waiting EAD :)

You can change to different location and it will get delay for sure. Read your ACS notice how to reschedule your appointment.

@thearyan07 & @MimroRaMero Why you guys wanted to do the biometrics earlier then the scheduled one? Is it because if you do the biometric earlier you will get the EAD earlier?

I dont think it gonna speed of the application process, even if it does, it is just a week or two. The reason I tried failed walk in biometric because I live in one city but my malling address is on another city, so I did not want to go again :)
