This may sound kinda wiered and conservative but very true. Can any nepali guy think why nepali girls go with indian or pakistani? I don't know if anyone even thought about it but this is a serious issue and challenge to nepali guys. I'm a nepali guy and personally I think nepali guys are more understanding and loving. Does anyone have anything to say on it??

It can be sheer irrational to judge all Nepalese girls; however, my two cents thought on a few Nepalese girls, who are going out with Indian / Pakistani guys:

1. INFLUENCE OF HINDI MOVIES/ SONGS ? DO NOT DENY IT. Who doesn?t want to fall in love like Hindi movies heroes and heroines? They probably see image of Sharuk Khan or Salman Khan in Indian/ Pakistani guys.
2. Indian/ Pakistani guys ?show? respect and speak softly with girls. This really turns on these girls.
3. Indian/Pakistani guys are very helpful to girls ? collaborating homework to giving ride anywhere.. anytime?
4. Indian guys party with soft drinks and home cooked Biriyani & Tikka Masala, while Nepalese guys party with frozen buffalo wings, tortilla chips, and whisky. Nepalese guys listen with Thrash, heavy metal songs to Hip-hop and R&B, where Indian guys listen with Pankaj Udas to Jagajit Singh?s Ghazals. Now, for the girls, who grew up listening Hindi songs in their whole life, now who looks better? Drunkard Nepali guys who always fight with each other, or Mithun Charawarti or Sahruk Khan looking Indian guy, who drinks Coke in the party?

Guys, open up your eyes and stop whining. Try going after a Nepalese girl, respect her, understand her, and see what happens. the most important.. don't give up.

Well not so uncommon here but anyways... why nepali gals date Paki, indian or Bengali guys?? well frm what i have seen .... nepali guys( not stereotyping) have tendency to gossip a lot n talk crap about nepali grls(as u can see the comments on this thread)..so they just ignore those guys and start hanging out with other guys of other nationality...then starts friendship ..love n more!!!

you have nice point... yeah hell thats true since i have lots of Indian/Pakistanis friend, even we go out sometime to club, they just drink COKE .... heheeh and always looking for the opportunity to toss up dance with the gals and mostly WE Nepali drink Liquor and dont care tooo much about tossing up with GALS just want to have fun and enjoy the time.

About the soft spoken of Indian/ Pakistani guys...... Ohh yeah they have soft voices compare to WE nepali have because they hardly get chance to talk with the gal back in their countries beside their own sister or cousin. So they want to show off their politeness and which makes our NEPALI gals think that... " These GUYS are soo nice"

Here in USA, there is nothing like free ride, yet these guys will give everything to impress the GALS and once they win their confidence, they will get everything back with the INTEREST... and leave them alone.... bichara GALS

and other thing i guess they want to go with different from same countries guys is to prevent from SPREADING the RUMORS ....This is not only Neplese problem but i heard its the problem of most of the communities..

Oh ya! The other thing is-Just like nepali girls tend to see image of Shahrukh and Hrithik in indian and Pakistani boys, these boys in turn see Manisha Koirala in Nepali gals. That makes the chemistry more interesting and easy going...
On the other hand, they relate we nepali guys with Bhuvan KC and Rajesh Hamal (Nepali Babu)...

but i have seen a bengali that just married a nepali and he's a great one for her (one of few good indians i have met myself).

so there are always exceptions to the rule i guess. so dont stereotype everyone.

well i have to admit that there are a lot of pretty nepali girls but there are way more beautiful american,puertorican...lets just say latino, european, japanese ...in one word international hotties that nepali guys can flirt with.....and they are a lot more understanding and cool....now the only ppl who wants to hang out with nepali girls are the indians/pakistani and bengali beacause girls from their countries are not as pretty and outgoing ...moreover they have cultural similarities and similar taste about most of the things........and yeah the "dwags" sometimes flirt with the nepali girls too ya i mean...well they flirt with every girl in the world....so guys dont get jealous or worry about it.....its not that they're going after the Bheles because of our behavior or watever...its just that they dont have a choice.

I go out of town (and away from Sajha) for a few days and what a lot did I miss! This is a great thread and I can't help but put in my two cents so here I go ...

First off, I am going to try hard not be judgmental about anyone and brush everyone with one stroke. I do, however, want to share my own experience with Nepalese and foreign women and my feelings about both types of relationships. I guess I, like some other people, have had a natural tendency to gravitate towards women who share my ideas and interests. The fact that they were Nepalese may have contributed to the process because there is a sense of shared experience that comes when you meet someone from your culture and that helps start and cement a friendship.

With foreign women, I have only had short relationships and none of them have been of a "serious" nature. I am not sure I can fully explain why. I guess the cultural divide was simply too huge in most of these cases inspite of my women partners and me being open minded about such differences. I feel my relationship with women is somehow tied to my relationship with myself. I was brought up in what I now realize was a fairly liberal household and exposed to certain kinds of values that have made me into a complex person with a somewhat strong sense of identity. There is a socially and politically progressive aspect to my identity but I also feel a sense of belonging to my roots and pride of my culture and country (in spite of all its shortcomings). Maybe it is this that makes it difficult for me to have relationships with foreign women because there is too much I have to let go off to sustain the relationship. I do not want to compromise to a point where I would be unhappy or loose my identity.

Does that then mean that I have perfect chemistry with Nepalese women? Of course not. I have realized there is no such thing as a Nepali women or a Nepali man in my mind. There is too much diversity within the Nepalese community for there to be a typical or atypical Nepali girl or guy. My last relationship was with a Nepali girl and it broke down because my partner and I could not make the kind of compromises that were necessary to have a lasting relationship. We were from pretty different cultural backgrounds within Nepal but shared two common languages and many common interests too. But it wasn't culture that the relationship ruptured on. We were beyond that (and thats probably the only thing she and I still agree on.. he he) . It was personality. We matured into two different people even though we seemed to have a lot in common when we started.

One of my many conclusions from my own experience is that it's ultimately about personality, at least for me. Culture, nationality, race, ethnicity certain fuel attraction or conflict but in the end it is who you are in your mind and what you seek to gain or loose from a relationship that decides who you fall in love with or who you break-up with.

Enough said - sorry if I over-analyzed the topic :)
