A nepali girl has been missing since last sunday in estes park,colorado. she is a student at st.cloud state university and was working in estes for the summer. police is already involved with this situation.they have posted her picture all over the place. she was last seen at 10am last sunday, while on her way to work. her name is pratistha budathoki and no one has a clue where she is. her belongings were all left behind in her room including her passport. the nepalese community in estes park is seeking your help. if anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Estes Park Police Department at 970-586-4000 or e-mail to hotzone272@hotmail.com. please help us find her.

i can understand all your concerns but i'm sure the police would have tracked the credit cards if she had used it. Estes Park police are pricks and snobs, is any other law enforcement people involved yet? like the feds or i don't know.... the county ppl or the sheriffs and detectives.......???

I did not find her name on st. cloud state university database. Are you sure she goes to SCSU?

but since the circumstnace is slipping off our hands, i guess we have to resort to this anyways.

did the cop started to delve into the matters. i heard that they would not start to investigate until its 72 hrs from the moment she disappeared.

btw, i have informed to all whom i know in Colorado. let' see. my prayers are with her.

if anyone has any information about pratistha,please let us know. we are also working with the nepalese embassy in washington dc. police has been actively involved in this case. we have informed her parents in nepal as well.it has been hard to track down her cell since it is off. her last credit card transaction was on the same day she went missing. rocky mountain national officials will conduct search and rescue tomorrow. let us all hope for the best. her family members should arrive in US by day after tomorrow. please help us find her.please contact ajay ji or manish ji for updates.

i hope wherever she is, she is perfectly okay. i believe, god has his hands of blessings bestowed on her head so that will protect her from any undue risk, harm or injuries.

i happen to know about her through one or two of my casual acquaintances and i don't know her personally at any level. i would urge all her near and dear ones, be it here in US or back in Nepal to communicate with each other and try to track where she might or might not go. her close friends here in US (Estes Park, Mount Vernon, Saint Cloud or any other place) should have some sort of knowledge about where and where not she could go.

since cops have started to look upon the case, i hope we can find her whereabouts ASAP. i don't believe that it's a case of kidnap or any such kind of mishaps, at least not at this stage. i hope it's not.

my prayers are with her.

I am just curious, has anyone try to talk to INS office at CO. I know by the fact INS people are picking people from any where now a days, this happened recently person I know. Once they pick up people they confiscate the cell phone pager etc and they will transfer somewhere remote jail. I think this might be possible too.

i not sure but i think its a kidnapping case or how come person can get lost . she is grown up girl she has been here for last 2yrs . she just can't go lost some how and even i m sure this may be whole plan from some who has been knowing her from somany days or someone who might be watching her for a days.

she is really nice, beautiful and frenly girl, i know her since long. she is my cousine's niece. i have been with her in nepal. We all are trying to contact her but there are no replies from her side.so i really praying god for her well being.

I associate myself with everyone concerned here about her whereabouts. I don't know what I can do being so far away from where this unfortunate incident took place, but for certain, I can extend my heartfelt prayer that wherever she is, she be okay and that she come back home safe and sound.
Nevertheless, how about giving Amber Alert, or alerting the fed authority? Has anyone done it?

So far i know about ambert alert, it is only for missing kids..how about telling the local media..it might help.....

whenever there is a police report, the media gets notified. that's how it works in the newspaper. I have checked both the newspapers in estes park (online) but didn't see any news on the missing girl. it could be that they haven't posted it online yet or they just simply ignored the news, however the latter one is highly unlikely as this event is a very newsworthy event. So, I'm pretty sure the media knows about this, at least at local level. We can certainly inform the big metro media, especially the television.

ESTES PARK - Authorities asked for the public's help in finding a missing exchange student Thursday.

Twenty-year-old Pratistha Budhathoki was last seen leaving for work on June 18 at around 9:30 a.m. However, she never arrived at work.

"She was like, 'Oh, I'm late for work, I better hurry,'" said Smriti Pande, Budhathoki's roommate.

She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Budhathoki was last seen wearing a "Muchin' House" shirt.

She is an exchange student from Nepal. Estes Park Police say witnesses told them Budhathoki only associated with a small group of other exchange students. Witnesses say it is very uncharacteristic for her to disappear.

"We're really surprised," said Commander Kes Kufeld with Estes Park Police. "It's just totally unlike her. It's uncharacteristic of her."

Her friend, Aswin Penday said, "It's just hard on everybody."

"She's the kind of person if she goes somewhere, she'll call us," said Penday.
