एकजना छन अमेरिकाको न्यूयोर्कमा । आफुले आफैलाई बुद्धिमान घोषणा गर्दै आफु बिदेशिनुलाई ब्रेन डर्नको सज्ञा दिने त्यो सख्श अरु कोही होइन अनाबश्यक रुपमा तपाई हाम्रो ब्यक्तिगत मेल अकाउन्टको यनबाक्स फुल गर्ने हिन्दु अतिवादी र तराईको शान्त नेपाललाई भारतीय भुमन्डलमा मिलाउने प्लानका सेवक हुन-परमेन्द्र कुमार भगत ।

उनी हरेक दिनजसो दर्जनौ मेल दुनियाका हजारौ मेलबक्समा पठाउछन् । कुनैबेला नेपालको प्रजातान्त्रिक आनदोलनलाई सहयोग गर्ने नाममा काठमाडौंको आन्दोलनको फोटो किन्ने भगत अहिले हरेक दिन पहाडिका नाउमा बिद्वेश उराल्दै मधेशीका मनमा घृणाको बीउ रोप्न उद्यत छन् । अर्थात उनी पहाडी र मधेशी नेपालीबीच माराकाट गराएर साम्पर्दायिक हिसाको बिउ रोप्न चाह्छन । किनभने यो उनको मालिकको आदेश हो ।

भारत नेपालमा के चाहन्छ ब्वासोले गाइको बाच्छालाई मायाले सुम्सुमाएर कन्याउदै मुटु कलेजो झिकेर खाएजस्तो गर्ने प्लानमा छ । नेपालमा हिसा बढेपछि बिचरा भन्दै सुमसुमाउन आए जस्तो गरि तराइलाइ आफ्नो भागमा मिलाउने र को दीर्घकालिन रणनीती पुरा गर्ने एजेन्ट हुन उनी । उनीमात्र होइन उपेन्द्र यादव हृदयेश त्रिपाठी र जयकृस्ण गोइतहरु पनि त्यही हुन । जो आफुलाई नेपाली भनाउन समेत चहदैनन् ।

हिजोसम्म श्री ५ को सरकार हुदा उनीहरुले जनआन्दोलन भाग २ मा कहि पनि मधेशका नाउ उच्चारण गर्न परेन । राजाकै शाशनमा मस्त भए । किनभने अहिलेका राजा भारतीयकै ज्वाई र नातेदार अनि उतैबाट आएका थिए । तर अहिले जब नेपाली जनताको ुनेपाल सरकारु भयो उनीहरुलाई नेपाली भन्न लाज लाग्यो र मधेश सरकारको नारा उचाल्न थाले ।

केही समयअघि सम्म मधेशी र लोबतन्त्रको नारामा ब्लग लेखिरहेका उनी एक्कासी नेपालबिरोधी र भारतसमर्थक भएर निस्किए । उनी नेपाली पासपोर्टकै आधारमा अमेरिकामा बसिरहेका छन् भलै भारतीय कृपादृष्टिले पालिएका किन नहोस । तर आफुलाई नेपाली भनाउदा लाज लाग्छ रे । मधेश छुट्टै देश हो रे । नेपालीहरुले त्यस देश हडपेका हुन रे । उनका पछिल्ला लेख पढ्दा यस्तै लाग्छ ।

काठमाडौंका नेवारले नजानेर किम्बदन्ती वा जोक्स बनाएको ‘मनु मखु मडिस्या ख’ लाई ठुलो मुद्दा बनाएर आर्टिकल लेखे । पहाडिया भनेका मान्छे नै होइनन र उनीहरुलाई खत्तम गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने उनको आशय झल्किन्छ ।

वास्तबमा यो फलाम तातेको बेलामा हिट गरेजस्तै हो । तराईमा सयजना मान्छे अगाडि लगायो हजार जना पारीबाट सय रुपैया दैनिक दिएर ल्यायो । नत्र काठमाडौमा लाखौ मान्छे उत्रदा जनआन्दोलन २ मा किन तराईमा मान्छे सुन्यप्राय थियो राजतन्त्र बिरुद्ध ११ बर्ष जनयुद्ध हुदा पहाडमा जसरी क्रान्ति मौलायो तराईमा लुटेर खानेहरु मात्र बढे किन हुन त तराईमा पुरानो डाका सस्कारले गर्दा पनि माओवादीमा लाग्नेहरु लागेका थिए लुट्न नपाउने भएपछि जनतान्त्रीकमा लागे । राजा फाल्ने आन्दोलनमा चाही नलाग्ने अहिले ठुृलो क्रान्तिकारी कुरा गर्ने

भगत जस्ता कथित नौटंकी अनुहारहरु धेरै छन् यहा । उनी कहिले आफु नेपालमा राजनीति गर्न नफकर्कने कुरा गर्छन त कहिले अमेरिकामा सबैले नेपाल गएर राजनीति गर भनिरहेको लेख्छन ।

परमेन्द्र भन्ने मान्छेले एकपटक अनौठो कुरा गर्यो । सारा सार्क क्षेत्र एउटै रास्ट्र हुनुपर्ने प्रस्ताब राख्छन । यसको अर्थ के हो हिन्दुस्तानले भन्ने गरेको सारा भारतबर्ष एउटै देश होओस भनेको होइन पाकिस्तान बंगलादेश देखि नेपाल र भुटानसम्म भारतमै गाभियोस भन्ने उनको आशय हो कि होइन यस्ताले तराइको आन्दोलन हाकेको दाबी गरेका छन् । के यो कहाबाट सन्चालित हो यसै थाहा हुदैन

अमेरिकामा उनी कसरी पुगे यहा के काम गर्छन उनी बेलाबखत नेपालमा पत्रिका र इन्टरनेट साइट चलाउनेहरुलाई अलिअलि रकम दिएर भारतीय लाइनका नेपाली नेताहरुका। अन्तर्बातार्ता लिन लगाउछन् । यता केही पैसामा बिकेर पत्रकार भनाउदाहरु भारतकै दलालीमा बोलेको कुरा छाप्छन । उनको धन्दा यस्तै छ । आफुलाई महान बनाएर आर्टिकल लेख्दै दुनियाका मेलमा बिना अनमति बग्रेल्ती िलंक पठाएर उनले दुनियालाई दुःख दिएबापत क्षतिपुर्ती तिर्नुपर्दैन अमेरिका बस्नेलाई त यो थाहा हुनुपर्ने उनले अरुको मेल आइडी कसरी थाहा पाए प्राइभेसी ल अनुसार त कारबाही हुन्छ आफु बिदेशिदा ब्रेन ड्रेनको घोषणा गर्नेलाई त थाहा हुनुपर्ने ।

गगन थापासित अकंमाल गरेको फोटो खिचाउदा आफुलाई भाग्मानि ठानेर आर्टिकल लेख्नेले अहिले तिनै थापाहरु अर्थात पहाडेहरुका बिरुद्ध बिषबमन गर्दा कस्तो लाज नलागेको । साइटभरी आफ्ना नानाभातिका फोटो राखेर प्रचार गर्ने भगतले लेखेका अग्रेजीका भाषण कतिजना तराइबासीले पढ्छन त्यो उनलाई के मतलब भगतले त त्यो भाषण आफ्ना मालिकहरुलाई देखाएर पैसा झार्नका लागि हो । साच्चै तराइका लागि सबेदनशील हो भने त कलैयामा आएर जुलुसको नेतृत्व गरुन न । सोझा गरिब मर्ने भगतहरुचाही अमेरिकामा बसेर तर मार्ने

पहाडिया र मधेशीको साम्प्रदायिक सदभाब भडकाएर मान्छे मार्ने खेल हुदैछ । यदी त्यसो भयो भने नेपालको इतिहासमा पहिलोपटक लाखौ मानिस मारिन्छन । देश बिखन्डन पक्का हुन्छ । भगतहरुको मास्टर प्लान यही हो ।

जनअधिकार फोरम भनेको भारतीय दुतावासबाट रकम ल्याएर सास्कृतिक कार्यक्रम गर्ने गोष्ठि गर्ने र एक दुइटा प्रतिबेदन छपाएर मधेशीको नाम भजाउदै पैसा कमाउने एनजिओ होइन यो कुनै पार्टी हो जसले बिचारको आन्दोलन गर्छ त्यहा बसेका नेताहरुको कुण्डल हेर्नुपर्छ कहा कहाबाट सन्चालित छन यसै थाहा हुन्छ ।

उपेन्द्र यादव काठमाडौंको बानेश्वरमा एकजना राजावादीको घरमा भाडामा सायद सित्तैमा बस्छन् । किशोरकुमार बिश्वास भन्ने मण्डले जो सद्भावना पार्टी छाडेर दरवारहुदै भारतीय क्याम्पमा पुग्यो उनी पत्रकारहरुको फोन नम्बर सकलन गर्दै आफ्नो नाम बजाइदिने अनुरोध गरिरहन्छन् । अर्का आफुलाई महासचिब बताउनेचाही उपेन्द्र यादबले बोक्ने ९८४१-४३५७७१ नम्बरको मोबाइल उठाउछन र आफ्नॊ नाम उल्लेख गरेर समाचार लेखिदिन र आफ्नै अन्तरवार्ता लिइदिन करकर गरिरहन्छन् । उनका अन्तरवार्ता लिन मानेन भने उपेन्द्र यादवलाई सम्पर्क हुनै दिदैनन उनी ।

अस्ति भारतको गणतन्त्र दिवसका भारतीय दुतावासमा भएको पार्टीमा फोरमका नेताहरु कसरी कानेखुशीमा मग्न थिए त्यो कुरा सहभागि यो पंक्तिकारलाई थाहा छ । राजेश अहिराज जस्ता नटबरलाल पत्रकारहरु पनि त्यस दिन एक लाख भारुको पुस्तक पुरस्कार लिदै चलमलाइरहेका थिए ।

I am delighted that you are happy, Rahulvai.

For the record, as a pahadia bahun who has worked in the tarai and has a number of personal and professional friends from the tarai, I SUPPORT Paramendra's RIGHT to free speech so long as he is not using physical violence to push his agenda.

His utterings could be seen as the ramblings of a mad man or as musings of a gifted man. Paramendra alone bears the risks and the rewards -- not any of us. Alternatively, he could be ignored too.

So what's the fuss?
Why be uncomfortable with his views?
Could be saying the truth that's discomforting?

It's fine with me if some or most of his 'speech' is offensive to most people.

That's because, in a democracy, the only way to counter 'bad speech' is by coming up with better arguments and thoughts, and NOT by ridiculing those who hold disagreeable or even distasteful or even "silly" views.

I am NOT a psychologist, but I can sense this "English' issue as a 'frustration point' for you, rahul vai.

Here's my ameteur hypothesis.

Look, you were one of the Top Ten students of SLC Nepal many years ago, Rahul vai. You thought you were headed for glories.

But many years later, here you are -- pouring your raw, crude and bitter anger at the so-called English brigade.

What happened, man?

Maybe you -- like many, many former Nepali high school and college and university superstars -- NEVER learnt that while schools and universities reward those who can show the best CONSUMPTION of knowledge, the real-world, where we spend a lot of our time, actually values those who PRODUCE ideas, information and knowledge constantly.

No production of ideas and knowledge and information, no value? Who cares whether you were ranked 1st in the nation 20 years ago or last in the nation in some academic test?

What is important is: What are you doing now? Are you on the way to the top of your profession or are you you just middling along, while disparaging others who have done much better than you in the real world?

That is why, in most cases, success in schools -- especially for Nepalis who are good at consumption of books and school work -- rarely TRANSLATES into success in the real-world.

Judged by this criterion, Rahul Vai, the members of the so-called English Brigade -- the people you appear to hate so much -- will do very, very well in the real world compared to you . . . because they produce, create and share information, knowledge and ideas. And it's that production that the world values and NOT some quiet consumption.

i haven't read any of the threads here, but the only thing I associate Paramendra Kumar Bhagat is junk mail. He sucks, every now and then he keeps sending junk mails and I don't even know why? If u guys see him anywhere, beat his ass up!!!

I think I know Paramendra as much as you know him and I don't hesitate to say that he is a shameless sh*t. Here are my points:
-He practices junk email-coz there are no people who would want to hear what he has to offer. He subscribes people time and again and claims his mailing list is the largest nepali mailing list. Dude, if I had enough resources at this time, I would sue him for continued negligence of privacy rights. His ideas are bull****. Just because he has been with that idea for a while doesn't mean he is determined.

-He went to Berea college-haven't heard of it until I came to USA. He went there because he did not get into any better colleges. He boasts about being the president of student government-hey they don't give a sh*t about such leadership here or there.

-His qualification earned him a state of joblessness. So, he is a blogger and so-called private businessman...self-claimed this and that things...but none of his ideas have materialized...

-He advocates for madhesh but rejects any possibility of going back to madhesh and helping people there because his life-time goal is to make money. Look at his blog and the ads. He maintains several blogs so that he can sustain out here in NY. Show me any areas where he has helped the nepali community other than writing bull and creating useless fuss about madhesh-pahad discrimination.

-He is an opportunist. He sides with people when he needs them and gets off the hook when ideas get off the line. If you read his blogs, it is all evident. He criticizes the same person and doesn't mind to have a cup of tea sponsored by that person either.


Trust me, no one would hire such a self-professed intel. Look at his interviews...holy cow...you can clearly see that he is holding the camera himself while talking...the extreme level of self-publication.

Since no one would hire him and he is not willing to work in Walmart or Mcdonalds, he has to do his business with radical ideas to make sure a couple of people go to his site and click the ads. There is nothing more than this...

OK, so he's a "loser".
Fine.

BUT the point is:

In a democracy, even "losers" have a right to free speech, so long as they -- and they alone -- are taking all the risks and rewards for their actions.

Now, just because they have a right to free speech that does NOT mean that they are right/correct and all that.

It just means just that: that they can stand on their soapbox, and fight the windmills for all they want.

How difficult is it to accept this fact?

I, for one, have no problem reading some of his blog postings (if they are particularly provocative and interesting) and IGNORING the most (for lack of time, interest, etc).

I would NOT see him as a powerful, destabilizing force in Nepal in any way!

So, let and let live.

I have same question to you! So what is the fuss? Why are you so uncomfortable people criticizing Paramendra? Only Paramendra has freedom of speech?

And shame on you for attacking Rahul Vai on personal level in front of the whole world. I did not even know he was a SLC topper! What he does or what he is now is none of your business! You simply attacked his private life that you have no business meddling with.

Please someone tell me if I understood this statement correctly! Is Ashu saying a successful English writer will do very well in the real world compared to Rahul Vai or people like us, in general? What a joke! Where are English professors these days? They should be very successful producing, creating and sharing information, knowledge and ideas. Are they?

Is he saying people can not express their views, share ideas and information in any language other than English?

By the way, how did Ashu know Rahul Vai can not write in English?

re: the picture of 'indians and muslims getting citizenship'
the caption says it all. clearly the person who wrote that believes that muslims should not receive nepali citizenship. i think people like that are absolutely necessary. otherwise, who can we disagree with?

Unfortunately, delving into the personal side of the poster in order to win the arguments against him/her seems to be a behavioral mudus operandi of Ashu.

I have seen this occur in past when he got into verbal fisticuffs with other posters too - Nepe, Paschim, Biswo and many others.

Don't get me wrong. For the most part, I like what Ashu writes. His arguments, though you may agree or disagree with, are usually cogent. I even dare to say that I admire his writing style... to some degree. Though, I do get turned off by his usual false modesty and self-promotions that come out now and then.

Lets stop of this culture of using the word "chamcha" whenever someone agrees wtih or admires someone. Parmendra Bhagat is not somebody whose views on Madhesi issues have to be accepted in whole by people. Genuine issues raised needs to be welcomed and epressions of encouraging violence needs to be condemned.

Attacking Parmendras, or anybody's, personal life is absolutely distastefull. Talk on issues, be logical not ideological.

Hi Everyone,

I had not known this guy until last year when he was actively promoting democratic agenda here in US. As with most of the people, I admired his view until lately to see some of his outrageous provocating thought. Everyone has full right to pursue their agend but don't ever forget that you should cross other's boundry. His comment on Terai issue just does this. If he can apply sense, then there is no use to words which our silly leaders (prachanda and baburam newly added to the list) do most of the time. We all need to put concerted effort to put down the fire, not ignite it. This is my lay man thinking. May be intellect like him has more to explain.

Let's learn to have healthy discussion. We really lack these skills. I said "WE", and that includes me too. Let's not get into verbal assaults and personal accusations because no one will learn from that.

If everone agrees on the agenda, the chapter closes, and I've read somewhere a quote that says if everyone agree on meetings agenda, there must be something wrong. I may be wrong.

I actually defended Paramendra earlier, and have always supported madheshi's rights. But there is a limit for everything. Claiming for a separate state hurts everyone, and these groups demanded to declare those dead in protests as martyrs, and injured to be treated free of cost at hospitals. But how about that brutal murder for sub-inspector? Why do we forget the other side of coin? Bringing all those people responsible to justice for the murder is equally important. The first thing that we need is JUSTICE. We always forget to give justice, and have the habit of NOT PUNISHING THE CULPRITS, be it rayamajhi commission, mallik ayog, nagarkot massacre ayog, 12 nepalese murder investigation aayog, etc. What's all this game about? Why're UN people calling for punishing the culrpits? Why the present home minister's PA called to release for kidnappers and murders of a boy from koteswor? Why are poachers being released?

Coming to Parmendra issue, now I'm convinced that he doesn't care much about Nepal, and how narrow-minded these people are. They don't want equal rights; they want to do the same, the game of domination. I agree that madhesis have been discriminated, but what're they doing now. Aren't they discriminating against PAHADIS now? So, I started to dislike Parmendra now. He mentions that even newari people supports madhesis agenda, that's so untrue. I hate all those asking for a separate state, and now I'm even against a federal system. From recent incidents, it seems that madhesh state is hardly going to listen to the federal government, and the agenda has to be genuine, not some silly agendas.

I read the original posting; Mr. Acharya seems very angry :). Article must have been written in quite emotional state. I don't know what Mr. Bhagat has sent to him but if I were Mr. Bhagat, having read this article, I would have revolted more. If you can not solve the problem, leave it as it is, but don't worsen.

Madhesh is a real issue these days and most of their demands are genuine. I support them for proportional participation in government and politics.

I believe in Science because it is always true. Recently many natural laws that govern non-living particles are being applied to learn human nature and society. Economists are using quantum mechanical laws to predict economy (which depends on human nature). Low of probability which governs quanta has gained good reputation in Wall Street. Physicist John Nyass should have gotten Noble prize in economics.

I am going to apply One of the most fundamental law in science ie the law of minimum energy, to human nature. It will be readers who will justify whether this theory works well :)

Law of minimum energy stats:

Every body in the universe try to have minimum energy. In other word, every body try to release the excess energy.

A ball fall down from a high mountain to release excess gravitational potential energy; an electron moves in the circuit to release excess electrical energy; we feel relaxed when lay down because we release excess energy, stars burn to release excess nuclear energy, planets rotates round the sun to release excess gravitational energy, starts rotate round the black hole to release their excess gravitational energy.....the play of entire universe is just to minimize the energy.

If I state this law differently, I would say.... Every body try to be stable. To have minimum energy means to be stable. .

Stability happens only if there is balance. To have stable state you have to have balance. Stars exists due to the balance between gravity and nuclear energy. Hot body has to lose energy to cold body to have thermal balance...Until and unless you release excess energy there will be no stability...there will be no balance..This is well established law of nature.

This is what is happening in the country.... Society is trying to get normalized...Society is trying to release all the injustice to be stable. .injustice is like a excess energy..No doubt our society was/is unstable. It has excess energy (injustice) to release to be stable. ... There are privileged groups, there are unprivileged groups... unprivileged must get right and privileged should give right... this will balance the society...

Janaandolan I, Janaanddolan II, Maoists movement, and now Madhesi Movement all are the process of releasing injustice.... Don't blame on people, it is a natural phenomena. ... You can be pro or against; the natural phenomena will go on until it reaches to minimum injustice state.

As every single particle try to have minimum energy state, even so a human society try to achieve minimum injustice state..............This is natural law


I back Madheshi movement....I am with Madheshi who are fighting for their right peacefully...

While I agree that they are underrepresented and discriminated in the Nepali Army and other sectors, that's not the right reasons for a separate state. Would you kill a person who stole a cake from a dough nut shop? That would be too much of a retaliation. While that was not much of an analogy, I hope you got my point.
