Hey guys, is Minnesota among one of the best state for Nepalese students ? As far as i know MN is best for studying because of the costs and all the State universities are pretty good....

minnesota colleges good & bads good: -if you maintain ur gpa u get instate tuition (state colleges) -u have more nepali friends around - u can go skiiing or ice-skating - people there like foreign students.... - cheap costs of living bads: - freezing temperatures for half of the year... - no off-campus job opportunities...as far as i know ..may be in minneapolis... - no beaches, no ocean closeby... these are on what i see..everyone has their own opinions....

the best state for studying is NEW YORK followed by D.C lot of museum, amitheatre, cultural experiences and diversity from people all around the world apart from college life.

Any state is good for students as long as they complete the objective that they came here with (to finish up a degree with an above average GPA and find a job). BTW, NY is not bad in the sense 'that off the books' jobs are abundantly available and students could work their azzes off even during the school year! However, the atmosphere for attending colleges here is very unlike other places (too much social-events/partying and extra-curricular activities...if you know what I mean). Many end up dropping out!
