A nepali girl has been missing since last sunday in estes park,colorado. she is a student at st.cloud state university and was working in estes for the summer. police is already involved with this situation.they have posted her picture all over the place. she was last seen at 10am last sunday, while on her way to work. her name is pratistha budathoki and no one has a clue where she is. her belongings were all left behind in her room including her passport. the nepalese community in estes park is seeking your help. if anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Estes Park Police Department at 970-586-4000 or e-mail to hotzone272@hotmail.com. please help us find her.

Nepalese association in denver is gathering up nepalease to go look for her in the mountains. We are working on gathering about 300 nepalis to start the search and rescue mission.

anyone knows how far she used to live from her work which is in downtown Estes Park? I'm thinking now that if she used to live in a little ways from work, maybe she took a ride from someone and that person, god forbid, abducted her.

I HOPE WHEREVER SHE IS, SHE IS SAFE AND SOUND. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HER.

Sorry to hear this sad news. I HOPE SHE IS SAFE AND SOUND. I dont know what is happening nowadays...............tired of hearing bad news all over about Nepali Student. Like those car accidents incidents consecutively in different states and now Nepali girl missing. Hope our country Nepal is going thru lotta ..........bad curse........god bless Nepal and Nepalese people.

I am currently in Washington DC and I spoke with Mr. Krishna Aryal, Nepalese Embassy and following in the summary.

1. Embassy is in contact with US
2. Embassy has and will try furture to expediate the search process.
3. . Embassy is open to any suggestion and will cooperate in whatever means possible.
4. He has encouraged us to get in touch with him if anything else is needed regardless of time and day.
5. Mr.Aryal is also in touch with Ajay dai and Manish.

I suggest we prepare our resources in Denver for possible search operation in Estees Park this weekend. Let's post the call on our website.

Let's also discuss how else we can involve nepalese embassy.

I am also planning to meeting Mr. Aral in person regarding the same and I would appreciate suggestions.

I would certainly like to extend a helping hand, however i am far off denver right now. i m sure others resonate with my feelings.

i was just thinking that we may need monetorial support for the rescue team. isn't it? as per sidster post, i guess we may need to accumulate as many people as possible and we may need some financial support for stuffs like food, tools that can help in search operation. there could be other stuffs that may need financial support.

so, why not set up a paypal or something so that we nepali living far away, who cannot be there physically, be able to at least make some contribution.

Just a thought, let's share others views on this...

unfortunately , i am also far from colorado so cannot go for search but we will support any efforts.
My prayers are with Pratistha.I am sure i have met her before but do not know her personally.

Do the police have any leads yet???? I am a criminal justice major so...
I know that they have a standard procedure to handle missing cases. for me It does sound a bit scary because she doesn't seem to be a runaway type......could she have any medical problems......you know fainting and stuff. And since she left to work early morning there could be possible wittness to anything unusual depending where she lives......so I think if the police has not done it yet ...they are required to get statements from all the people who live around......who were present at their home and at close proximity from where she took the bus , train, walked or taken a lift from anyone
to work.......
for Worst case scenerio......Now the most dreaded thing for the law enforcement to do is to check all the listed sex,crime offender in the radius location...and for the ones who were released recently who were in the neighborhood. They would track their movements by following a trail of any moving offenders....by where they were last seen...creditcard use...........etc..........Gosh I feel so helpless but I will offer any help I can..... I hope She turns out fine and we do not have to go far as the worst case scenerio...BUT we cant rule it out too..............

just heard the news... it's shocking... absolutely shocking!! not personally, but i know her from the school years. she IS a good person, i hope everything is alrite with her. i pray for her safety and her family's comfort... GOD BLESS HER !!
