I disagree that it's narrow minded to talk in your language. I've been to many nepali parties where even if there are other foreigners, most nepalis talk in nepali. I wouldn't call that narror mindedness. A bit inconsiderate but they are just practicing their freedom of speech. If two chinese feel comfortable speaking in chinese, it's your narrowmindedness to want them to speak in English!
