Here are some of the stocks that showed up on my buy scan. We may have seen the low but it is possible that we see one more sell-off to wash the weak hands. Currently I am doing intraday trades from the long side only. If S&P closes below 800, I'll stay on the sidelines.
If the market goes up from here these stocks should easily double. The holding period is at least 1 year (if profitable). Put these stocks on your watch list and when you see a pattern as described on the follwing link, you can buy. ALWAYS use stop losses. Stops should be somewhere between the low of the cup and low of the handle. This pattern is described in detail in William O Neil's book, "How to make money in stocks". You can probably get it from your local library or buy one...it is worth the money. If you are patient and wait for the right time you should do pretty good at the end.
If you find other stocks that have a similar pattern, please post it here.

I won't have time to post everyday but will try to answer any questions on weekends.
Thanks for all the emails.
Happy Investing.

I have invested in 10 different stocks as suggested in this thread. All of these 10 stocks are down today. What type of market is this? At leaste one should be up, come on, I am a newbee. I think I am a no trader. Should I be concerned today? Or do I wait couple days to bounce it back? I can not afford to lose $500 a day.

Purush, If you are a newbie you should not have bought 10 stocks. If you can't afford to lose the money then you should not be in the market. If you did buy all the stocks mentioned here you should still be making some here or at least be break-even. Sell everything and stay away from the market.

what i mentioned on my blog about the capital raise by the banks are starting already ; with WFC ($6bln) and MS ($5bln) hmm.. ok no biggie. looks like federal govt. has to increase interest rates to sell the bonds. hmm... seems like government is going to need a bailout themselves. this truly means that inflation (or even hyper-inflation) is right around the corner. very bad time to be in equity with P/E=20 (for S&P) .. definitely not WFC, BAC and C (which has -ve) if you have gains. in any of the bank stocks i would suggest you should consider taking in profits and locking in the gain. i somehow believe that you could buy them at cheaper price. or you might want to use some options to protect your investments. now all the good news are out lets see what is going to prop up the market (O: . may be banks themselves are buying and selling ... remember the first Q profit of all banks .... most of them were from trading (O: .. interesting huh!! money from TARP went into stocks (O: lets see who is gonna sweep the floor off the market now....

AAAA, I wrote here few days ago, stress test is just a joke, bank already found or, atleast how they'll raise the capital that they need even before the stress test results were out..Look at AH trading, BAC & C are trading more than 5% , futures are up , everything looking good for another rally tomorrow.. Sold my JASO & YGE today, i will sell rest of BAC & CX tomorrow. Still holding C , still think this might get to $6 very soon. Darkside, Ya i bought that a while ago and I have that in my 401k , let's see if that goes to $1, which might be possible in 2-3 years if their drugs get approved, cool $20K with downside of 150 bucks. But i think the likelihood of that happening is may be 5%.

Hey guys don't ask me to run away. I wanna learn and be a mature trader just help me with tricks. Looks like I need to learn when to buy and when to sell. At times, I ended up buying at high price and not selling it when the prices get at the highest level. Sometimes I sell before the price get to the highest level. I am learning guys. I have diversified my portfolios of 10 different stocks. I don't think there is a reason to panic but today all of them went down except for one with an increase of 03 cents. That's nuts. I just buy 100 to 200 shares of each based on their share price. The stocks are from different industries. I don't have too much to invest but certainly can invest couple thousand dollars. Am I not doing it right? I am here to stay on the long run - guys. I really appreciate your help. Be encouraging to me, Please!

Purush, Deciding which stocks is just one of the many things that need to be done right. The most important thing is how many to buy and how much to risk. I post the picks on Sunday and post the trigger price. You should only buy if the stock goes to the trigger price and not pay more than the max buy price. There is no need to buy 10 stocks...I usually have 3-4 stocks only, this is easier to keep track. The market is always going to be here so try to learn how to consistently make money then after that we can go for big money. Thapap, I will be following your blog. Life goes on..... and that's true. I took a big hit when I tried to buy the pullback at 1400 and that's what I told myself.
