With market down and no clear solution in sight, it looks to be trending down for some time. I think there might be some opportunity for buyers to scoop out some stocks at discount price.

Anyone has any suggestion on what they have their eyes set on?

I am planning to buy some commodity stocks including some oil. Staying away from airline, food and hospitality (at least for near future).

i am pretty unlucky in stock stuff so far
1. i had both google and amzn over 100 each back in 2012-2013 when they were trading at $250. For stupid reason i sold them same year without making any good profit.
2. i purchased 20 btc in 2016 while it was trading at 2k. i sold the same time without making profit. again my stupidity and then i went all in in 2017 when crypto bubble burst. lost a lot. well in 2020-2021 recovered 50% of it.
3. i had 400 tsla in 2019 when it was trading at $300. i sold it in 2019 to gamble on option.
4. i had 100 GME while it was trading at $80. i sold it at $92 and was happy for making profit of $1200. and next day GME hit almost $500

For high risk and reward buy BNGO, SNDL, SENS, CCIV.
For Growth NIO, TTCF, GNOG, SQ.
You can also buy options leap on APPL, WFC, NCLH. ITM leaps are expensive but have greater delta so that you can have dollar to dollar exposure with stock price, whereas OTM leaps is cheaper but bigger percentage return when stock moves towards your direction.

I don't understand why QCOM is never part of talk? Chip shortage/demand high, 5G etc should move this to 200+ by EOY. It's on discounted price currently as it fell down after earning.
Also, I guess TSM is good buy too.
Again if you are looking for day to day green, may not be right but if you see long term, could be right one. I still regret selling 100 shares of NVIDIA at $135 3 years back.
Obviously lots of regrets with tSLA too

I was a complete reckless gambler with not much luck in stock as of now. I am into bigger $ than bigger % in return which comes with HUGE risk.
Well, These days I have created my own option model that is less risky though return could be less too.
I usually do ITM but no leap.

@deepocean - I think you are still going the wrong route....Hey I am not an expert here...In fact this is all new to me just like many people....
Don't focus on GME...it is a history now....You know more than me...When was the last time something happened like this and at this magnitude.....Reading tells me known...The closest was Volkswagen...I would rather focus on others that might give you 10 % 20 % 50 % and maybe 100 %....This keeps adding ....
Also, be patience, you have to be patience.....I hardly sell my RED stocks....I keep and keep until I know the shit is going down the toilets ...or there is better opportunity somewhere to make money ...I always tend to keep at least 1 count (yes 1 count even when I shed in loss)....for 2 reasons...It reminds me my mistake and 2nd I can track that crap shit and see where it is growing
I have recently started doing penny and SPACs ....Now I see why ppl are more drawn to penny ...But I think SPACs are the real winners at the current market ....

Check out CCV - ride the wave ....just because of CCIV it will go up...same folks...CCVI is in pipeline/pending again same folks...If CCIV merger,, this two should popup....Look for warrants.....I do not know much but I see folks making more $$$ on warrants for CCV, the warrant is CCVWS (changes with platforms)...
There are 2 SPACs coming from Softbanks ..
watch for KAHC, another SPAC from KKR ..should be biggest in 2021 at 1 billion for spac...
get early in at $ 10 and get out if you want quick money....u will never go wrong on this SPACs if you enter early

Last but not the least, I always take some profits and add Blue Chip type/forever hold type even if it means 1 count....

This goddamn OCGN: I had entered at $2.60 a couple weeks ago. I sold it at $4.25 last week. Was not bad, but look at where it's now. Forget about today, even on Friday after market close, it was up to $8.90. Unlucky me.

I will not regret if I were you. You don’t have a crystal ball. For the volatile stocks they can go either way pretty easily.
