Just so you all know, Sachindra Nepal, the cab driver who was arrested for raping an 18-year-old girl in Ocean City, Maryland, was found guilty on ALL 5 accounts of rape and sexual assault yesterday in court. He is now in a State prison and will be deported back to Nepal as soon as possible as part of his sentence. And to all of you who thought the "ocean city sluts" were to blame for this matter, well, let's thank God that the jury did NOT agree with you.

What a twist in the story! First, reading all the postings by jennalinne, I thought its the guy who should deserve the punishment. However, now I am so disgusted with the thread originator's biased comments about Sachindra. This looks like to me he is merely a victim of the circumstances and the so called "raped" girl. I am sure if this girl had rejected to have sex, he would have left her without any problem. We are not talking about a stranded girl in the middle of nowhere being rescued by a taxi driver and later being raped. We are talking about 18 year-old partying and getting dead drunk escaping the bust by the cops. If she had found any other person as a taxi driver than Sachindra, she would had left the next morning fine instead of playing rape-victime game. Sachindra did have choice of being professional and not getting into the pants of uncouncious passenger no matter how much she wanted to have sex. In my opinion, he just got victim of the poor judicial system and the drunk-slut-playing-rape-victim.

If she does not reply in the next couple of days, the following things are confirmed: 1. She was here to cause a rift and blame and belittle the Nepali ppl for the wrong done by one man (even if she vehemently denies this). 2. She could not even face up to the fact that her friend (or whoever it was) had deserved some blame as well.

After reading the article, i also have to agree the 18 yr old is nothing but a drunken slut who ruined someone's chance to have an american dream and who was just a horny man at the WRONG time, i doubt her life will change much, i am sure she is back in the party scene getting drunk as usual and having sex.

Just to let all know, this is not an isolated incident. I have seen some of these cases involving imigrants. Once a Ghanian guy was accused of rape by his ex GF when he broke up with her. He was not convicted of rape but got charged with batery and fraud. So all I got a say is be careful fellows. Its not worth comprimising your life for a night. peace out

Granted, his side of the story adds a different dimension. But why do you assume he's the one telling the truth? I was not trying to cause the rift, I was just presenting the story as I know it. I still think I know a lot more about it than you all do just from that article. And yes, it was irresponsible of her to get that drunk, but I swear to God, I'm really sick of you all calling her a drunken slut. It's so disrespectful.

Call her what you want, but a jury and a judge found sachindra guilty on ALL counts, and he's going back to nepal. you all can bitch about it as much as you want, but there's nothing you can do about it.

Jennaonline I have few questions for you "The law defines mentally incapacitated as being substantially unable to appreciate what’s happening, so the jury had to determine just how inebriated the young woman was. " This law is SO SO wrong. What if a 'mentally incapacitated' person kills some other person. Do you find the person innocent? "Being embarrassed about what she has done does not give a woman the right to cry rape, he said. " There is no measure of mental incapacitation. I bet if she had woken up with a HUNK/Handsome guy, she would have called her friends to show what a score she had made. Poor Sachindra is just a victim of circumstances (and perhaps his not so handsome demeanure).

Gal ya gotta get over race issue. The justice should not see the facts rather thab color of skin, race or ethinic background. If it was a rape then nobody has any rights to defend Sachindra. But looking at the circumstances, gal seems to be more of fault. There are crminals everywhere and of any orgin. Justice should punish the ciminals for the crime but not for the ethnic background. Just imagine jury of local residents with bias for a gal could serve justice. And gal, nobody here to please you. You need to get over your ignorance. peace

This girl jennalinne is trying to present a case saying that the jury and judge sentenced Sachhindra guilty on all the counts and everyone got fair justice. But the judge also agrees to the fact that he is not a "sick and evil" pedophile going on rampage of raping girls. The judge is one of actors in this judicial drama and he is doing it because this "full-of-flaws" judicail system tells him to do so. I hope this girl jennalinne also becomes victim of such circumstances and especially the law system. I will not be amazed to see this "fake-victim" girl coming out with another case in future where she wakes up in a pile of vomit and condoms to realize that she got "raped" by 10 dudes from Africa.

There's no point to argue. I wasn't there, and none of you were either. Why sit around and take sides? Who know's what really happened? The fact of the matter is, Nepal was in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you don't have the details of each side you really can't sit around and disrespect anyone.

Just to be fair ... I have one question. Will the victim of this rape be punished for drinking undere the age, which is not legal - .i.e., a crime!! People that served her alcohol are also criminals - are they being punished?? If not why not??? All cimes should be dealt with ... why were they not dealt with .... or were they?? The punishment the rapist received was the right punishmengt!!

read the follwoing article. I hope you all know who Joe Francis is if not he is a big guy for "Girls gone wild " videos. Anyway my concern is if the guy involved in this underage drunken and sex explicit was a forigner he could have gotten Rape case but this guy being white (I assume) are let go. Jennaline this proves the law and order being racist easily Source http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16764336/from/RS.2/ Joe Francis, 33, also was ordered to pay a $500,000 fine as part of a plea deal he made with the U.S. Department of Justice in September, when he plead guilty to failing to document the ages of young women engaging in sexually explicit acts in the tapes. Under the deal, Francis acknowledged he included footage of two drunken, underage girls shot in Florida in the videos.

i'm sorry, but i'm pretty sure that those of you who think sachindra was soooo victimized would feel quite differently if the situation were reversed. if a nepali girl went to court claiming to be raped by a white man, you really think you'd feel sorry for him, and think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time? i think you'd feel very loyal to and sorry for the "poor girl" and p.s.... obsolete... you can't just assume the sex was consentual. how do you know he's not LYING?? because nepalis never lie, or something?

Jennalinne, you know I think the Nepali rapist got what he deserved. However your contention ... "you can't just assume the sex was consentual. how do you know he's not LYING?? because nepalis never lie, or something?" ... someone can pose the same question this way "how do you know the victim is telling the truth. because white girls who drink illigally don't lie? the bartenders who sever drinks to these girls don't lie!!!" Why do you find it so hard to even consider that the CONVICT might possibly be telling the truth. It might be that he conceived that he was having a consentual sex!! No matter how heineous the act we need to consider everything!! " if a nepali girl went to court claiming to be raped by a white man,..." - your statement!! .... can you gurantee and say with a straight face that the white man who is accused be convicted... comeon now ... if you think that you must be pretty naive. The media would be all over this poor Nepali girl accusing her of being a whore who is trying to trap a white guy so that she can stay in US and become permanent residence and so forth... Comeon now... I understand your sentiments about the convict on this case and the victim but please don't be naive enough to paint the picture of the US justice system as being a Utopian justics sytem .... it's far from it and any highschool graduate knows that!! Yep

"This was the sort of case, Eschenburg said, where there could have been two juries and each would have come up with different verdicts and no fault could be found with either of them" Reading what was said, I believe Mr. Nepal should've been given the benefit of doubt- "better ten guilty men go free than one innocent be punished." -ChrisCornell
