I don't think Maverick's will make this year too.
Its sad to see Sun's and Spurs at the first round.
Celtics thought to have easy round, leveled by lowly Atlanta Hawks.
Lakers have swept Denver.
I think Houston will be eliminated.
I don't think Philadelphia will make to 2nd round.
Raptors are routed by Oralndo (4-1)

even though i have supported the lakers, watching then now being routed by the celtics.... there're going to have a very tough time winning the finals. we'll see how they do in the home games. i hope it's not a 4 game washout by the celtics.

LA have all the potential to beat Celtics.
24 point lead almost evaporated (to 2). Yet win is a win. Congrats LA - it could have been a greatest comeback in the history of playoff (as the commentators said).
As I have said, if the Celtics bench come big, as tonight (Leon Powe) LA have no chance.
Best offense have tough time winning agaist good defense.
Celtics need to win one game in Staples Center out of three.
Beat LA.

This sums it all up:
"Leon Powe gets more foul shots than our whole team,' said Jackson, whose Lakers earned 10 free throws. "That's ridiculous. I've never seen a game like that in all these years I've coached in the Finals. Unbelievable.'

OK, here are some statistics.
93.7 % of teams have won NBA finals with 2-0. (the only teams that overcame 0-2 deficit is 69 Celtics and Miami)
Celtics are 7-0 when leading 2-0.
Since the format came 2-3-2, C's need to win one game at Staples center, where crowd will be hostile and Lakers shoot better.
I knew C's were inconsitent, now I know, Lakers are too.
It was funny to listen to ESPN analysts that Lakers will win in 5, but they were wrong. There will be game 6.
Beat LA !!

I guess you left out the free throw disparity. This is hideous. I dont care who wins, but I did not think the calls would be so one sided.

Sleepyspur:
There will be lots of game like never before as history will be made. KG and company will do anything needed to get a win, thats all they are after, a WIN. and from the game, I think POWE deserved those free throws the way he hussled in the paint area and was very physical and athletic. First time this playoff season, Lakers couldn't win a game with their fast athletic team like what they did to the Spurs, + remember how PISTONS beat LA in the finals in 04, EXCELLENT defense.

That is such nonsense. Granted, Powe played out of his mind and much of those free throws were well deserved. However, my point is that LA was not getting any calls... the Black Mamba was getting hacked everytime he drove into the lane, yet, no call, almost never...
Doing anything to get a win? Although, I love KG, admittedly one of my favorites. Paul "The Lie" Pierce is a bum. How you going to be carried off the court then come back jumping up and down, that has to be the phoniest thing I have ever seen. That was more "Tara Reid" than "Willis Reed". I hope you band-wagon Celtic fans were not inspired by it. It was so sorry. And, now you guys are going to come back at me with that great Celtic tradition and the loyal fans. Where were the loyal fans last year? When the stadium was half empty? Also, where was Paul Peirce? No team that has a supposed "franchise" player would win 24 games as the Celtics did last year. Ok, so now you are going to tell me, oh but look how many games the Wolves won with KG, mind you, the wolves dont pay in the NBA JV League (Eastern Conference) and they still won 30 +. With that record, they would have had the 7 or 6th record in the JV league.
I suggest you guys come up with more convincing arguments next time.

Hang on now....how about cheap calls against Kobe? Did that change the game???? The question is not if Leon Powe got fouled...the question is did the Refs call the game the same way on both ends??? Only meaningful free throw Lakers shot was the Technical foul on KG...go figure !!! the rest 9 free throws were gimmicy.....Refs sure knew what they were doing....Michael Wilbon on ESPN said the officiating was embarrasing.....And, he is in no way a Laker fan....

hahaha Sleepy, nice one regarding Pierce's phoney injury: "That was more "Tara Reid" than "Willis Reed".!!" Where did that come outta? Nice! Go Lakerzzz!!!!!!
To sum it all up, it comes to this: The 4th quarter last night finally proved what the Lakers can bring to the table in the games going forward. Kobe has finally broken the slump he's had against the Celts all season long and to me it looks like he just may have finally figured the Celts mega-physical style of defense (that it almost looks dirty every time Kobe's asking for the ball around the paint). Its upto Gasol and the rest (except Radmonovic who's been consistent) to find that same groove...After that, LA's golden! Damn, only if Bynum would've been healthy, then the cat would've been the biggest player in the series...The Lakers are surely missing out on size right now.
On officiating, how more vivid can the wild and erroneous calls or even the ommited ones get?? The Lakers are getting screwed in this dept. A year ago one of the league referees was kicked out for fixing games. Looks like the same may be the case here with all the stakes at Vegas where the odds were highly against the Celts at the start of the Finals.
With all said, I still expect that this series will go all the way to the T: 4-3 for the Lakerzzz!!

Samsara bro, always on point...
That Tara Reid was good was n't it. What can I say, when something that phony happens, the inner creativity comes out... Its quite funny that the Celtic bandwagon fans have no response to "The Lie"
Man, there is no one defense that can stop the Black Mamba.... the first game, he just missed the shots he normally makes, and the second game, the refs gave the game to Boston from the get go...

Well Guys !
The refrees have been factors --> lets not deny. They have been getting lots of hits. (Scroll up and I have made comments on refrees. )
Celtics did have calls going against them. for e.g. Leon Powe's fifth foul which was a clean strip from Fisher. Yet was called against him, which forced him to sit.
My point: If you were a Lakers supporter, you will feel, the justice was not done to Lakers and same is true for other side.
About the lie:
How come you guys know Pierce was not hurt ?
+
+
How come Pau Gasol did not get hurt when he landed flat on his back on the parquet ?
+
I am quite sure, tomorrow, the Lakers will benefit from the refree's calls. I am keeping on you guys for the comments on the refrees once they go in favor of Lakers. That will be home cooking.
Good thing is we are not Rashid Wallace to get fined for commenting on refrees.
