A nepali girl has been missing since last sunday in estes park,colorado. she is a student at st.cloud state university and was working in estes for the summer. police is already involved with this situation.they have posted her picture all over the place. she was last seen at 10am last sunday, while on her way to work. her name is pratistha budathoki and no one has a clue where she is. her belongings were all left behind in her room including her passport. the nepalese community in estes park is seeking your help. if anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Estes Park Police Department at 970-586-4000 or e-mail to hotzone272@hotmail.com. please help us find her.

defintely this is a very sad news. i ve known this girl for about a semester in st cloud.and also it is very dissapointing that shes been missing for almost 10 days and the authorites are not doin anything about it. where in the case of natelie holloway the medias were constantly covering the event for almost a year. we r being biased by the media by not covering the event seriusly.

Police said her voicemail was checked and her credit card was used, I wonder if her voicemail was password protected or not ( her close frens or roomate might have some clue about this) .. .

If her voice mail and card were password protected, then who else know her password besides her...

i hope she is still fine n doing o.k....

I just wonder why people talk about natalee holloway.she is famous because she was lost in some other country and the fact she is still missing after 1 year also...i feel sorry for the parents of all missing person..there are thousands of people missing every year in USA....and in many cases they don't find the missing person afer putting lots of efforts.
Please guys don't think that authorities are not doing anything...there are lots of missing cases which might not be popular but police authorities are working on them....
Lets hope for the best....

I listening the interview of the police from one of the listed site above. The police was not very convinced if there is a foul play from his interview. I am very confused also. Her work is two minutes walk from where she left. She was living in the downtown Estes park.
Estes park at this time year gets crowded like a Ashon chock and it is very small, which excludes she might have been taken a ride from someone hence abducted, unless she was snatched from he very apartment perimeter when she stepped out, which is very unlikely. I think what police should do is take her telephone record 3 or 4 days before she was disappeared and find who she was talking to or where she was getting call from and find out who those persons are, police might have already done that I am not sure. That will point some direction.

Someone also pointed that if her cell phone has password. Some service provider has password to listen the voice mail some does not. That is also something to consider.


Some people from RMFN was going to check the Mr. B&B’s video surveillance for Monday that was the day her credit card had transaction.

The confirmation about Bikram Basnet being alive and well is true. A friend of him by the name Shankar in Northlake Community College, Dallas has found him out. As a matter fact Bikram changed at least 5 different jobs in last 2 months. That's why it took so long to track him down. Bikram still does not have any cell phone. The number in the gas station is out of order. He told Shankar that he will have cell phone within a week. Also, he assured that he will be calling home very soon. He works in a country way far from Dallas Texas. He has been advised to get in touch with his own Nepali felows so in case of emergency he always have help available. Thanks for those who prayed for him. He is fine!

We have prayed for sister Pratistha in our assembly tonight. Please keep praying. Pratistha's uncle is heading to Denever by friday. A search and rescue team is supposed to operating over the weekend. Her parent's are still struggling the visa problems. Please pray for her safety and her famliy at this difficult time. ANLUS is appealing Embassy of Nepal to immediately seek information from the US Government on whereabouts of Pratistha Bhandari. We will keep you posted about the new information we may receive in this regard.

As far as we know, the US Government has refused to povide additional information on Miss Pratistha, unless a relative or a family member requests for the information. ANLUS will have a conversation with the Embassy of Nepal the first thing tomorrow morning and let you all know about the development in this regard.

As her uncle is arriving on friday, we hope that information (if any) on Pratistha will be revealed by the investigating authority as soon as he presents himself.

We all pray for the safety and sound health of Miss Pratistha in this moment of grief and offer our sincerest solidarity towards finding her.

As days are passing more and more I am gettign more and more sad for her becasue if someone is missing just like that every second has more value in oder to save the person's life. I hope she is still alive and safe. I put prayer request for her in my church and everyone I know has been praying for her. Let's wish all the best for her and her family. Pray foe safe and live return and her parents so they could get visa for the US.

28 June. Update on missing student Pratistha Budhathoki

10 days after she went missing, it has been revealed that a shopkeeper informed the police last week he had seen Pratistha Budhathoki at the Prospect Mountain. Pratistha's credit card record also verified that it had been used to buy a ticket for the aerial tramway to go to Prospect Mountain on Thursday, 22 June. "It is sort of like going up to Manakamana on the cable car," explains Manish, who has been living in Estes Park since 1997, the small tourist community from where Pratistha has been missing since 18 June.

Local media in Denver have also confirmed reports that Police search dogs detected Pratistha's scent although she remains missing.

There is also now rumor that Pratistha had once tried to commit suicide when in Nepal, but this claim remains largely unconfirmed and most people who mention it "heard it from someone."

thanks for the video. at least we have new leads to her. According to the video she was see on June 22 and she used her credit cards for less than $10 to buy food and ticket of the tram. Police have even confirmed her identity through the videos of the store where the credit card was used. Does this mean that she just disappeared because she wanted to go away from the society or what?

But wherever she is right now, I pray that she be okay and in good health.
