I don't think Maverick's will make this year too.
Its sad to see Sun's and Spurs at the first round.
Celtics thought to have easy round, leveled by lowly Atlanta Hawks.
Lakers have swept Denver.
I think Houston will be eliminated.
I don't think Philadelphia will make to 2nd round.
Raptors are routed by Oralndo (4-1)

the lakers have proved more than once, that they can make a come back, as seen last night (alas it was a little too late this time). down 24 points is really awful but to cut that to 2 is remarkable. gotta give credit to the team. after watching the 2 games, what i think is that the celtics have everything going for them, 3-pointers, aggressive play and size of the players. lakers simply can't match them in these departements. on top of that, they let pierce shoot all the 3s he wants. and he does very well there. sasha & vladimir are simply no match there. rebounds - lakers have been awful even when they played the jazz and it does not seem to improve. the lakers' tiny bodies are no match to the celtic's. only time will tell, if this will be history in the making. down 0-2 to come back to win the title or be wiped out. statistics be damned. we've seen, it does not matter in these games. kobe's helpless. powe comes out of nowhere to score 21 in 15 mins. lakers have a tough road ahead. not impossible but very tough with celtic's home court.

Sleepy & Samsara
Yeah yeah, blame it all on the refs, thats all you got. Couldn't stop a semi-injured Pierce or if you think he is perfectly fine, still couldn't stop him. Its good after what happened with Fisher and Barry against Spurs at the buzzer ( wasn' that a game changing foul that didnt get called). Blaming refs is just lame. Refs are human, they cant get your High Def views and slow motion views..they have split second to call it or not and only if they got the right angle.
Look at the assists, Celtics had great ball movement and Lakers were more stagnant, one reason for their loss. While lakers comeback was impressing to many, it still didn't win the game, Bottom line. No ones gonna talk about how close a team came to winning, but who Won.
And about Pierce faking it, whether he fakes it or not, whats that got to do with how Lakers need to play. Any relation between Celtics kicking Lakers azzz and Pierce faking it is nonsense.

bored, quit boring us with that damn elemetary school kid's rhetoric, son. The entire America and ESPN commentators mentioned about the level of officiating as being a disgrace and you wanna argue against the pundits and all those who have that 2 lil spheres in their visage that normal folks call "eyes"?? WTF! Listen fool, all ya fair-weathered fans of the Celts were booing them last season during EVERY home game and now you change your facade to suit the times? Be for real, goddamn hypocrites!! I've seen high school games that have a better standard of officiating than the damn Finals this year.
ABC is having a blast right now! They're prolly the ones who're enjoying this the most as that's exatly what they wanted: Network Ratings!! If the Lakerz would've swept over the damn Celts (which was the genreal consensus before the Finals began), where'd the revenue stream come outta? ABC's gotta milk this event dry and thats exactly why we see the referees do the shit they do...They're all there to suit the TV network's demands someway or the other as there is just too much dinero at stake here for both the NBA and ABC...Its like 7 mini-superbowls with each game drawing 15+ million viewers. The further the series prolongs, the more dheba/paise/money could be milked outta this.
Alls not over yet...As of this afternoon, Vegas bookies are still holding onto the odds of the Lakers winning the series and I for one, believe that will happen. Lakers in 4-3!!

Sleepy, ANA basketball this year has a few worthwhile teams so it won't be as boring like the previous events...As per my talks with one of NYNYC;s ballers, looks like they've found themselves some new cats. Heard from peeps that DC still sports the same vets again . This season, if I were to bet the ranch, I'd go with MMC. They've got 2 new recruits (both 6'3") who'll bring about the much needed size and inner-presence that they lacked at the last ANA. They're more determined and ever since the All US Tibetan Tourney where these kids lost in double OT (without 2 of their first 5 players), their confidence level is at its peak right now. And finally, never doubt DH, the reigning champs...They may pull it off again this year but am wondering if they would still have the same team? Moreover, with the height monopoly no longer a factor, would they fare as well as they did last year? Have to wait and see for this to unfold.
And is Dallas bringing its team from last year? Too much misinfo being fed around that they will not be attending or they may bring a whole new team (because of the fight last year as this year the ANA is around NY territory). If the same team comes, they are a team to watch too.

Samsara aka batoboy,
Entire nations views about the referees aint gonna change shit, its their job to say stuff like that. You can wonder all you want over the ratings of NBC and abc or whatever, i dont really care and neither will the Celtics. All i care about is the game and in it your lakers aren't doing anything to help them get out of this slump. Instead of trying to focus on how to play the game better, you are going off track with ratings, refrees etc. U might only be the one watching the Refs, everyone else is watching the game. And u said it, Its not all over yet, Celtics still gotta go in LA and play tough, hard and with passion and they are equipped to do so. They have got confidence playing in road after their two wins against pistons in conf. finals away from home, so beware of them sweeping.

bored ala BORING talk, goddamn idle-headed jack-a-nape! Go back to singing lullabys as your consensus above ain't putting me to sleep. You just don't get it, do you ignoramus? There are more peeps rooting for Lakers (as per the Vegas odds) and there is no way we're gonna agree that the Celts played better D or had a better offense. In case you're a penny-pincher, too thrifty to get yourself cable, ESPN last nite had Michael Wilbon (he's a sports writer for the Washington Post too) say outright that the officiating was a disgrace! And he in no way can be biased towards any team (except maybe the Wizards, Redskins and the Capitals).
Son, Quit boring me with you random walk talk here. Just like your name, if you get bored go jump off a cliff or something...That'll cure you of your boredom for good.

I think the game was kind a biased...Imagine being a defensive team, hitting 36 free throws and being the best offensive team, 10 free throws, that was ridiculous...But, I don mean to say Celtics played bad....They are really good finalist and probably the winner but the gane was not fair by the referees...See the lakers comeback and i still hope the game could go as far as 3-3 before the seventh game...Good luck to both the team,,,

hahaha bored, this pot-bellied midget still says that the officiating was not what caused the Celts to win?? Wake up faggot...You still got wool over your eyes, lil gnome-faced, iron-witted lewdster! Look around ya, damn numb-skulled phoney cat, the entire Networks and your uncles/aunts here on sajha are saying that too. So, why don't you take that lil rat-shaped body of yours into a hole and hide there until us BIG cats have left the scene!!
And you talk about basket-ball? The only balls you'd be playing with are your own sack o' nuts...Go stick to flogging your own dolphin under the bed-sheets instead of preaching a baller about a game which is in his blood. If you want, come and watch how we do it this ANA...See how my teams owns your Bean eating team...Look out for MMC to steam roll over all competition this ANA!!
And yeah, didn't I ask you to jump off a cliff instead of boring me to death with your weak-azz comebacks? That 3 foot wall you just jumped out of to end your misery doesn't classify as a cliff, whacko. Go try again and rid us of your stupidity for once!!

There is more pressure on Lakers.
Lakers will be a different team at Staples Center.
The calls will go the Lakers and will try to prolong the series.
Kobe will prove bigger than what he is. Kobe's emergence should not matter if the rest of team remain dormant. Kobe will continue yelling at his team mates and they will continue rolling their eyes.
What so ever,
Go Celtics Go ...Beat LA in LA.
Go Green Go...Beat LA in LA.

So predictable, the Black Mamba strikes again!!!
What a night for "The Lie" Paul Peirce... maybe he should have pretended to have a knee injury like Game 1... maybe that would have inspired his teammates a little...

Salute to Cetlics players and even more to Doc Rivers.
Greatest come back in the NBA finals.
Celtics needed one game in LA and they did it.
Now one more.
No team has come back with down 1-3.
Ray Allen is not a overrated player as some of you thought.
Can't beleive Kobe can be guarded.
Go Celtics Go...Beat LA

All these fair weather Bean-Town fans, where da fugck were you guys when Boston was 24-58 last year? Last year during every friggin game, Pierce and the Celts were being booed to no avail. And now we have a band-wagon ala the Pied Piper of Hamilton's proportions taking place here?? hahahaa Keep proving your stance of being stauch hypocrites and showing off that low sportsmanship morale. No wonder, Beaners are losers and always will be!!
The way the lakers played last night's game, has to be the most disastrous performance ever by any team. Kobe was guarded well and physically by the larger Pierce and Doc Rivers has my utmost respect for figuring out how to cover this scoring machine, defanging and making the Black Mamba's bite lack any venom. Also the move to get Posey into the game and keeping him in, was applaudable. And where were the rest of the Lakers, I ask? C'mon, it was one superstar (Kobe), going against 3 good players of the Beaner's team. With Kobe unable to do his part, the rest of the Lakers too seemed helpless...Just goes on to prove how great the Black Mamba is as he's been the one to solely carry his team. He, IMO deserves as much a respect as a Magic or a Bird (someday in the future, Jordan status may follow...C'mon atleast Jordan had a Pippen and a Grant (later Rodman) on his side!!). Going into next year and looking at the free-agent pool for 2008, Kobe deserves someone like Ben Gordon (if he can get back to the shape he was in with the Pistons). That would be exactly what the Lakers need to win the 2009 title.
Also, witnessing Kobe's intensity to be the Best ever and his competitiveness for the past few years, I wonder if he gave Sasha Vujacic the same treatment in the locker-room that Jordan once gave Kerr for not making an easy play: A big fat black-eye! That Vujacic cat deserves it real bad!!
However, all hope is not lost...I still believe! If I could see Hillary Clinton being beat to the ground, anything is possible in this day and age! Lets not get way outta hand before the Fat Lady sings!! Go Lakerzzzz!

"where da fugck were you guys when Boston was 24-58 last year? "
Yours and Kobe's language skills are compatible.
When Danny Ainge dismantled the chemistry of the team, which was at least, palyoff caliber, I was mad with his moves. We could get free tickets to Celtics game yet would not go. To make matters worse, Pierce got injured.
But the matter is HOW THE LAST PLACE TEAM 24-58 TURNED AROUND TO BE NUMERO UNO IN THE LEAGUE !! You must appreciate that fact and thank Ainge.
Your Black Mamba's fang has been extracted by Pierces excellent defence.
Sasha Vujacic and Gasol were just looking when Allen made that drive to the basket..defence you call it !!
I told you guys, if your team loses, the fans can not be retained except for the Yankees and Mets. ;-)
What so ever, it feels good with 3-1 when at one point of game, I was thinking of a tied series.
+
Blowing a 24 point lead, leads me to the thought of...
+
I think Phil Jackson should resign and should not come back as a Lakers coach anymore.
Phil Jackson had 24 point lead that was blown and ended up in a loss to an inferior Celtics team. It took him 1 and 1/2 quaters to figure out what was going on. The post game interview of Pierce was clear that Cs were just competing, not trying to win the game.
Red Aubach competitor, Coach Jackson, does not deserve to be coach another year with this historic collapse of the Lakers. Ashamed I am. I am disgusted. I am angry. I feel like sh.t. I feel he does not deserve any credit. I am down. I am not with Phil Jackson anymore even though unpredictibilty is the nature of a game. that was highly unappreciative from 9 time winner.
C'mon, blowing a 24 point lead to an inferior Celtics team !! Unrealistic, uncharacteristic !!
And Kobe used a F word to Red Sox. Thats very sportsman like attitude !! Keep up Kobe !!

It’s unbelievable that a team with the Greatest Coach and veteran like KOBE and DFISH could lose the 24 points lead. I didn’t watch the game but it sounds more the Greatest Coach got out-coached by Doc Rivers?
Didn’t Doc play for Knicks? If Dolan clans knew about some basketball, shouldn't he be coaching Knicks instead Boston?
shirish dai said "I think Phil Jackson should resign and should not come back as a Lakers coach anymore."
>>> If it was Jimmy Buss, he would have fired him last year. But Jeanie is the one running the show. She may give him some raise for taking them to finals and you know what else ;)
Dai your team won but why are you angry and disgusted? You should be happy and planning for the Parade :=)

Shirish says: "I told you guys, if your team loses, the fans can not be retained except for the Yankees and Mets." SO DOES IT MEAN THAT YOU ARE PROMOTING YOURSELF AS A HYPOCRITE? I knew it! So much for being fear-weather fans, damn Beaners!! And was I even glorifying the Lakers defense? Read the arguments before posting your rebuttals, jackanape.
BTW, here's your man KG, swearing like a chipmunk! Not only Kobe, but the entire league swears, dumazz...Too bad that you ain't been to any games to see the level of swearing that goes on the court (Listen wisecrack, on TV everything is censored). So much for using the F-word only!!
