What is your religion? Why do you choose to be this religion?

Also do you think the anti-conversion law should be changed in Nepal?

Calling someone's argument "crap statements" is not being truthful. You can either agree with someone or disagree but you certainly cannot make derogatory remark against others - that's crossing the line. I may not agree a hundred percent with Andrew bro but he has every rights to make his statements as much as you and I do. Well, we can make our statements without attacking or belittling others ... can't we? Besides, I had some questions which I have posted twice in this thread already but noone has even made an attempt to answer that instead of taking pot shots at christians.

Dautari Bro: Let me just put it this way - No religion is superior (Christianity included). It's all the same sh!t, just the different stink. Makes sense now ?

I did not start name calling.

Anyway if you want to understand Christians just read the Bible and learn scriptures.

Well, no religion is superior - i agree. But it's like this. For me, Christianity is great. I am not saying other religions are inferior. I had to make a choice and I chose Christianity. That's all. I used to be a Hindu but i found Christianity better suited for me. No need for name calling.

You don't have make a choice. Can you not make out right from wrong without having to refer to religious manuals ?

That is also a choice you have to make - whether to believe in religion or not. I chose to believe. I was almost a non-believer once upon a time. But now, I believe.

well, newlynew bro, let me put it this way. I choose only one religion (aka "manual") because I do not want my feet in दुइटा डुँगा

But again, that's my choice. My personal decision. It does not mean my decision is superior to everyone else's. I made the choice for myself. Hence, I would not like to be ridiculed or belittled for my choice. By choosing religion or by choosing Christianity in particular, I don't think I am harming anyone else.

In this thread, everyone should be able to speak FOR his/her own religion but not AGAINST other religion, especially if you have to resort to name calling to get your message across. That's what I believe.

there you go newly bro, you can call us "believers" .. you did not have to call us "bloody fanatics". You have a choice. You can choose not to agree with us without hurling those insults at us. Right?

DautariBro:
As long as you admit you did not choose Christianity because you feel it is a better religion than what you used to believe in...

Newly jee, it is definitely a better religion FOR ME. (pardon the caps .. i just wanted to stress that "for me" it is a better religion). Perhaps it is not the religion suited for the other individual. I look at it from the individual point of view. I know more traditional Christians will condemn me for saying this but I am afraid that's what I believe. I am good with the Lord and that's all that matters to me.

I wonder if you get my point newly bro. I don't know how else to rephrase what I believe.

Once again Andrew,
Reading and learning is not complete learning process. Do you understand(not just face value) , can you implement it in your daily life today, is it logical and practical ? I just feel that you guys(who are defending themselves) are just following the herd(which is fine too). In christianity people who don't believe goto hell period. I refuse to believe that... there are plenty of descent human being of all kinds of religion and race.

Another example- Moses is a mass murderer. When he came back from Mt Sainai he threw the tabenacles and all the non beievers perished. In other words he was responsible for all those people's death(as if those who don't believe have no right to live). If we hold Moses to thou shalt notkill commandment ...he will be serving life sentence for mass murder.

This is my queston to Nepali christians. Can anybody tell me which cult (I am not sure if this is the right word) of christianity do the majority of the Nepalese christians follow? Like orthodox, catholic, protestant, evangelical, anglican etc...And which of the testaments do they believe on? I wonder if anyone could let me know.
