bornfree,
"nature and mountains only" is what everyone outside sees. Enter the GBS gate, you will see GBSeans' "sakkali roop". :D

Mountains were always inspiring though.

No problem Napalean. My pleasure. It is your school site and you are to talk about it out here.
We get to know about it from it .
Want to know something funny I have become a good buddy with this one GBS girl and
we were talking about this thread .She told me I go through it but never participate. She misread NAPALEAN as NAPOLEON and said I hope this guy doesnot have hair like the guy in napoleon dynamite.
Anyway Napalean you made me feel at home.

Most of you guys who studied at GAMV a.k.a. GBS, after the mid eighties, should consider yourselves as (more) fortunate. When I was there in the early eighties, there were no girls. The best memories I still cherish about those days are the Inter House comeptitions, my house Annapurna, the cool breeze beneath the "Chautaris" next to the classrooms, the trip across the Seti river to the Tibetan camp for "momos" and "thukpas" and swimming in the small "nature" pool in Hyangja to name but a few. Furthermore, when I see the skyscrapers in Manhattan from my office now, I am constantly reminded of the amazing scenes of Mounts Machhapuchhre and Annapurna that I used to be able to set my eyes upon every morning when I woke up. I also have fond thoughts of the teachers who have inspired me to be what I am today i.e. Bhojraj Sir, Narahari Sir, Bamdev Sir and Dan Sir (again) to name but a few.

Dai
I know how lucky I am to be a part of GBS though I barely keep in touch except for the few message I sent in this thread recently.I hate to say this but I don't feel attached at all.
And I meant no disrespect to school or the ladies out there.
Like you skyscrapper of manhattan as I pass daily do remind of the beautiful and open space we had at GBS and the fun we had out there and I appreciate all the guidence I had through friends and teachers out there that had shaped me into what I am today.
Which we certianly donot have here at NY
