A whole group of Nepal police against a poor and helpless dog. 
 

 That dog wasn't mad coz it had its tail upwards. It makes me sad and angry to see animal cruelty. What is happening to our countrymen?

Some of you morons are just too cute.....why are you jumping up and down against the poor hawaldaar?? How about 500 citizens who are standing in circles to enjoy the the dog murder? Do any of you think about not even one person coming forward to stop what was happening? ?? Lets talk about that.... Lets talk about our culture of voilence rather than poor hawaldaar who was handed over a task to kill the dog.

Most of these Sajha heros would have probably kicked the stray dog in its belly while they were in Nepal. Now they are talking shit about some ignorant poverty striken hawaldaar.

Us Nepalse are very inconsistent with animals, i had friends in nepal who would kiss their dog at home in the mouth but kick a sleeping stray dog in the stomach or throw a hot tea on them in the street.

 @sapdude - if you get beaten up like that u would understand the pain. There are other ways to get rid of dogs from the streets.

Is Hawaldaar the only culprit here? How about 50o people who are enjoying the show? I dont think you get what i am trying to say on my previous post.

 I dont wana get wat u trying to saying dude......its the police who is beating up that dog....its the government and not citizens duty to get those dogs out of streets and thats not the right way.....thats just so inhumane.....

I don't think that those people around there are enjoying the show. They seem to be helpless and can't interfere the cruel actions taken by Nepal Police. They might have felt the same way we do but they did not have choice beside being the witness of this disgusting way of animal controll.

I also have to say that the people are enjoying the show. In the early days the neighbourd fathers, uncles, and the older brothers use to stone the rabid dogs to its death. Now instead of the neighborhood uncles the hawaldaar is assigned to kill the dog.

I wish they had darted the dog to unconsciousness and then youthanized it properly without public view access but that is just the way we do things in Nepal. It is easy to blame the hawaldaar and feel better about ourselves compared to him but the fundamental issue of us as a society not having too much respect for another life and our inconsistent judgement with the animals remains the same.

Who told you we are feeling better ourselves. I feel so sorry for that dog.  If it wasn't the hawaldar and somebody else I would have blame him the same way. We cannot excuse ourselves by saying thats the way we do in nepal.

The society is responsible for the act as well. We cannot run away from blaming the executioner. The whole spectators are responsible for the act. It amazes me that not even one person walked in for intervention. That tells me that as a society we accept the treatment. We should evaluate this as a society and not individually. Just because we agree on calling the hawaldaar a bad persone it does not gets us off the hook as a society.

so can we change the society now or u wana remain in the same ages of ur neighborhood uncles? its the governement duty and not spectators duty to get rid of those dogs and there should be a better way.I dont think so spectators are enjoying the show as u have said. they are just hopeless and afraid of being caught and getting inside the bar for stopping such brutal act. nepal is not pakistan or afganistan where u beat someone to death.  u sound like a taliban for supporting such acts. And as i have said if it wasnt the hawaldar and somebody else I would have blamed him the same way.

Many of you thought the spectators on the dog killing even were innocent. Just look at this mass killing a leopard. Police or People we are all the same and have no respect for life.

बिहान ६ बजे टोलमा देखिएको चितुवालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिने सरकारी प्रयास असफल भएपछि स्थानीयबासिन्दाले लौरोले हानेर चितुवालाई मारेका हुन् । चितुवासितको भिडन्तमा एक दर्जनभन्दा बढी स्थानीयबासिन्दा घाइते भएका छन् ।

बिहान चितुवा देख्ने बित्तिकै सीमित संख्याका प्रहरी र संयौको संख्यामा रहेका स्थानीयवासीले रेष्टुरेन्ट नजिकैको बाँसको झ्याङ्गभित्र चितुवालाई घेरा हालेर राखेका थिए ।

त्यसपछि वन मन्त्रालय र चिडियाखानामा खबर पुग्यो । मन्त्रालय र चिडियाखानाको टोली घटनास्थल पुगेर चितुवालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिने प्रयास भयो । ‘तर मान्छेको भीडले चितुवा बिच्किएको हुनाले नियन्त्रणमा लिन सकिएन’ चिडियाखानाका बरिष्ठ भेटनरी अधिकृत राधाकृष्ण घर्तीले अनलाइनखबरसित भन्नुभयो ।

मान्छेको भीड देखेर बिच्केको चितुवालाई गोलीमा लठ्याउने औषधि हालेर नियन्त्रणमा लिन खोजिएको थियो । तर झाडीभित्र लुकेको चितुवालाई एउटा गोली पनि लागेन । एकतिर गोली हान्दा अर्कैतिरबाट चितुवा निस्केर मान्छेमाथि नै आक्रमण गर्न थाल्यो । त्यस क्रममा चितुवा समाउन गएका चिडियाखाना कर्मचारी बालकृष्ण गिरी सहित केही स्थानीयबासिन्दा घाइते भए ।

 

बाँसघारीबाट निस्किएको चितुवाले झम्टिएपछि भाग दौड नै मच्चिएको थियो । मानिसहरु भाग्दा उठेको धुलोले एक अर्कालाई नदेखिने अवस्था आएको थियो ।

चितुवाले आक्रमण गर्न थालेपछि स्थानीयबासिन्दा आक्रोशित भए । मान्छेभन्दा बढी आक्रोशित भएको चितुवालाई सबै मिलेर लौरोले हान्न थाले । मान्छेले चारतिरबाट आक्रमण गर्न थालेपछि चितुवा उम्कन पाएन । बिहानदेखि स्थानीयबासिन्दाले घेरा हालेर राखेको चितुवा दिउँसो झण्डै ३ बजे मारिएको थियो ।

केही दिनयता पशुपति क्षेत्रमा गाईका बाच्छा मार्नुका साथै चितुवाले मानिसहरुमाथि समेत आक्रमण गर्न थालेपछि पशुपति क्षेत्र वरपरका मानिसहरु चितुवाको आतंकबाट भयभीत भएका थिए ।
