“I was only four, I remember I was sitting on the balcony of my grandfather’s house and singing for my great grandmother. I learned Nepali drum instrument called “madal” till about the same time with my mother’s younger sister, who later gave me her guitar she brought all the way from Russia. ”
A fan of such diverse artists as Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Doors, Dire Straits, Led Zepplin Mokha Mukti’s soul begin to sing with them.

“I’am a philosopher and poet, and I turned my poetry into songs,” Moksha Mukti says. “One night a song came into my dream, and I woke up and wrote it down and I called it ‘Click Click Click’ and the raw version was a hit on YouTube, so I decided to take it to the XFACTOR and sang in front of Simon Cowell, Demi Levato, Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland.

Simon and Paulina were really enjoying while I performed, and Paulina started to dance. I took what Simon said seriously that I was entertaining and Kelly Rowland enjoyed my song and started to sing ‘Click Click Click’ when her turn to speak.”
“My first song ‘Love Love Love’ debut on iTuens and ‘Click Click Click’ later in September 2013. Now I have 13 songs, 12 of them are already composed ready to be recorded in the studio. “

Anchoring it all together is Moksha Mukti’s unique voice. As immediate as it is undeniable, its power is similar to Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Johnny Cash blended all together. “I did not want to sing, I like to express with words after an awakening took place in 2009 and I started to give satsang talks” he laughs. Until ‘Click Click Click’ came in his dream and he says the universal energy guided him to take this unusual path since his awakening.

Moksha Mukti is from somewhat of a musical family, his aunt played sitar, harmonium and sang beautifully . “It all came from my conditioning of years of listening to Dylan, Doors, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Jazz, Blues, Hindi and Nepali songs so on and so forth, but I stopped listening to music much after I got married, until my awakening, I started to sing devotional songs out of nowhere,” he cheerfully explains. “

Moksha graduated from Northern Illinois University and later went to grad school in New York Institute of Technology for his MBA. He performed in a few functions in college and other conventions on stage and he had a Rock and Roll band when he was 17 formed with his school buddies, but after moving to the United States from Nepal in 1986 he devoted more time in studying, but he purchased an electric guitar – Aria Pro II in 1995 and started to play now and then.

Moksha was really inspired by Bob Dylan during college days, because his voice was not that great and fascinated by Dylan and the US music market that you don’t really need a great voice to be a Rockstar, but need some profound inspiration and will to keep going to pursue your dream and not see unique voice as on the obstacle.

“You see, I always thought that I was doing it, and it appears as I am doing it, but there is a desire that is born and the source of the desire is not me it is beyond what I call as ‘me’, it is universal energy that takes the form of desire that utilizes my time to write a song and sing.”, says Moksha Mukti.

“This path has been difficult since there was very little support from my family, they did not think I have the voice to become a singer and it is also because of one of the many things I did in the past such as practicing and teaching meditation, later chanting, giving satsang talks, writing a book.

They expect me to stick to one thing because that is how the human mind is designed to think that is linear thinking, but my thoughts are dynamic and after the awakening in 2009 it dawned on me everything that I do or did comes from one source that life energy itself wants to express and this energy takes many forms. In their mind – do you want to become an author or the singer, but I don’t see it like that I go with the flow of life and now it is time to sing and my songs ‘Click Click Click’ and ‘Money’ are already hit on the radio, YouTube, and online as well as bars and other venues.”

Singing in front of thousands of people at Lake Front Arena in New Orleans gave Mokha Mukti a boost as well as some encouraging words from XFACTOR judges. “After this, I am at a different level, before I sang for my friends in their houses for fun, and now they started to take me seriously, and I had to move to Topeka, KS for a job and I started to recite poetry at the PT’s Coffee Shop and my name appeared in the Topeka Capital Journal, and later a friend invited me to sing at the Speck’s Pub and there my song ‘Money” instantly became a hit.”

Moksha Mukti had many followers on Facebook for his profound satsang talks and writing. His books ‘Waves Metamorphosing into Revelation, and ‘Ever Perpetuating Present Moment’ are available on Amazon – these books are similar level as Eckart Tolle’s ‘Power of Now’. But, his song Fanpage took off very quickly as he has many fans. Once he also appeared number one on the Reverbnation chart for Frisco, TX area.

“Now, at least my friends and family think I can sing and became famous, but I really need a break to do this full time and make a living. I know it is going to happen, but I don’t know when, but I either need to sell my singles on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play or sign a paying record contract with a major record company. Until then I am going to continue my gigs at the local pubs to any venues in Dallas, TX area and nationwide.“

Moksha Mukti is Robin Pandey’s stage name. He took up this name that came in his dream after his extraordinary awakening in 2009. He lives with wife and daughter in Frisco, TX and announces that there is not anything extraordinary about him and lives a normal life, but those who know him well think that he is definitely not an ordinary person.
