Kiddo, Hope you won't have to justify your own statement in future. I know it's wrong but I can understand she may be doing it because she may have been suffering through some bad phase of her life. Also please don't give me any BS reason that USCIS/HRs/Companies play fair games. Ask me, I can give you many examples. While saying that, I would be mad if she hadn't tried her best and chose this path just because her friends chose this path. I am not sure what's your experience with these kind of friends who had to chose this path but I know a LOT of my friends and that's why I can't judge them because I have seen them going through extremely frustrating process of job hunting. I guess I have been arguing in this top with you since long time and I will continue to argue with you. So I think you know what I am saying This fiasco of improper way of job hunting is created by companies/some bad USCIS rules(such as 3 months OPT)/Indian IT companies themselves and I would say fresh graduates are just a victims of this pathetic system.

In Kiddos days they didn't have these consultancies which helped finding job. Not just any job but a senior position. Kiddo here had to start from the peun level. Was the head of the coffee and copy machine. So I completely understand his frustration towards op because he had to work a little harder to get to the same position.

Pirka bhai. You're wrong, I didn't start from the peon level.. I wish. It was much worse, I took a gig as a buy boy that only lasted one day as I was fired. I then worked in few pool places. But guess what, I never lied about what I could do or who I was. Sajhamitra, I understand your point. I know the circumstances that lead to this; the industry is actually fostering this. They expect a person to have 5-10 years experience when the programming language itself is 5-10 years old. But that still doesn't make it right. Like I said, you can find justification about everything, but a wrong thing is a wrong thing. I am trying to not make a big deal out of this, but if I really think about it, it actually depresses me. We as a society have accepted this kind of short-cuts and wrong routes. We are the first to criticize our leaders for taking bribes and doing other illegal things - but we are the first one to give the bribe if opportunity presents us to do so. We are the one to take short-cuts, go via illegal means - justifying our actions to circumstances. Sure the level of wrong doing might not be the same, but that doesn't make it right either. Lying in a resume outright is wrong, but having somebody else do interview for yourself - that's just plain wrong. You might have no other choice, that still doesn't make it right. I am not saying that the OP should just quit and go back - do whatever you need to do - just don't say it is right. That's all.
