i140 processing time is same for all regardless of nationality, 15 days with premium processing and 4 months average with normal processing. If you are applying 140 n 485 concurrently with regular processing, u shud mail those to USCIS Dallas Lockbox oe courier to USCIS in Lewisville, TX. If u want to do premium processing for i140, the USCIS address depends on you location of work. Refer to i140 addresses on uscis

you can find it here if applicable... https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do Not sure why you are trying to find out which one is faster coz you are not allowed to choose where to send based on processing times. Depending on what forms you are applying and/or your work location, you should mail those to only one specific address given in i140 mailing address list.

Just FYI... information about current processing time is not updated regularly. according to my lawyer, they are getting cases approved for I-140 filed in November. Mine was filed in Feb, and I have no updates.

I thought based on processing time of each center I can choose between concurrent filing or not so I am trying to decide ifi140/485 should be filed together or just to i140 PP and send i485 to another center which is faster than Texas servjce center Does this make sense?

That definitely make sense but just letting you know that if you file i485 along with with i140PP, you apply to Nebraska or Texas service center decided by your work location. If you apply i485 separately, you will be sending those to USCIS lockboxes addresses decided by your state of residence and they will tell you which service center they sent your i485 for processing thru notice of action. Just saying that it's not your choice which service center you wanna apply to.....

Nebraska processing time is faster than TSC but you can't just choose which SC you want to apply like ny2 said it depends by your work location. In my case I140 was PP and i485 was filed separately. Acc to my attorney, Uscis is currently processing i485 cases from July-September 2014 at TSC.

Jahbles if i140 is PP and 485 is submitted based on work location it's either Phoenix or Dallas service center that's what is mentioned in i485 instructions so I was trying r to find out whether Texas is faster than Phoenix if so I was gonna file concurrently but if it's slow was planning to do it separately

Those Phoenix or Dallas you talking about are lockboxes providers and not the service center. From there, they will forward the application to any service centers or field office of their choice depending on their own system.

How long it takes after RFE response depends on the individual adjudicator. Uscis usually has 90 days to reply back. TSC Texas service center and NSC Nebraska service center are the only SC where they process 140 and 485. Others are just lockboxes.

Pros of concurrent processing 140 and 485 -faster processing time and you receive EAD and advance parole and if 140 is approved, 485 won't take much time. Cons if 140 is denied, all 765 (EAD), 131 (advance parole-called travel documents) and 485 (GC) all denies and you simply waste $$$'s which you could have saved by filing 140 and wait for its approval and then apply for 765,131 and 485.

http://www.wegreened.com/I-140-and-I-485-concurrent-filing What are the primary advantages of concurrent filing? There are several advantages of concurrent filing of I-140 and I-485, here are the primary ones: File I-485 earlier: You, your spouse, and your unmarried children under 21 can file your I-485 applications (i.e., green card applications) at the same time your employer or you file an I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker. (Normally, the employer files the I-140, but you can self-file your I-140 under certain categories, such as Aliens of Extraordinary Ability and National Interest Waiver.) Also, the concurrent filing rule allows you, your spouse, and children to file your I-485s while a previously filed I-140 is still pending. Obtain work authorization(EAD) and travel documents(AP): When you file your (and your family members') I-485, you can also file for Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) and travel documents(AP). The availability of an EAD is a major benefit for spouses who could not otherwise work legally (i.e., for spouses who do not already have an H-1B, O-1, J-1, etc.). Advance Parole can be a major benefit for those who could not otherwise travel (e.g., are out of status) or who do not want to risk getting stuck overseas because of security checks or other problems at a U.S. consulate while applying for a new H-1B visa. Might be able to leave job earlier: Having an EAD for the principal beneficiary does not necessarily mean you can leave your current job, but in conjunction with the portability provision, the beneficiary of a pending I-485 can leave his or her current employer and take a new job in a same or similar occupational classification after the I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days. Please note, however, that many issues related to portability remain unresolved, so you should be very careful before you leave your current position. If you leave too early, your (and your family members') I-485 (and everything else) may end up being denied. On the other hand, in some special cases (e.g., Aliens of Extraordinary Ability or National Interest Waiver), you might be able to leave your employer even before the I-485 is filed. Job-changing issues are complicated, however, so it is critical to get good legal advice before leaving your job any time before you get your green card.

The only cons of concurrent filing is the loss of cos if i485 package application in case i140 is denied which happens only in extreme conditions. Do you already have medicals, birth certificate and/or affidavit of birth in hand? If so you might wanna file concurrently. Otherwise file i140 PP so that by the time you collect medicals, birth certificates to apply for i485, you will have received your i140 decision.

$1200 is not bad for I-140. Is $2300 for two applicants or for one?
