It took me around 50 days to get it (last month). If you want it faster, you can go to embassy and I think you should get it within two weeks.
Just from my experience embassy will NOT update anything after they receive documents (document received status pacchi). And if you call them they will tell you check it later today, tomorrow etc. one time I called late September and someone told me that if I fly to D.C. (From Texas) he can hold my application and I could do online enrollment for faster processing. He said he has my application and still waiting to be sent to Nepal. I chose to wait, when I got my passport, it was dated sep 23. Basically he told me to fly to D.C. without even looking at my application.

If you are flying to D.C you should be able to pick up the form at embassy itself . Embassy doesn't accept form printed on us size paper. They want on A4 I guess and they are very picky about paper size.
