I have no idea about travel credit card. For those friends who have experience with travel credit cards, are they better than cash back credit card? Which one do you recommend (and why)?
Thank you

Some or all credit cards from Capital One do not charge foreign currency transaction fee is what I heard. I would think twice about using a credit card in a mom n' pop shop especially in Nepal or other third world nations. But if I use products or services of a large reputable merchant/provider, I would not hesitate to swipe a card anywhere.

With travel credit card, you might be referring to mileage awarding cards. Currently, I am using cashback cards only.

Thanks for your response. Have you ever used those mileage to book a flight? Are their mileage-earning cards good enough to give lots of mileage through which we can book a flight, at least a flight every year?

I use Bank of America Travel rewards. It has no foreign transaction fee. You can use it foreign countries without paying any extra fee.

One of the best travel credit card right now is Chase Sapphire Reserve. Wait for it to offer a sign-up bonus of 100K points again. This card has an annual fee of $450 but it pays itself. The 100K points are worth $1500 in travels if you book it through Chase Ultimate Reward portal. You can also transfer it other travel partners to book flights or hotel.

Few other options:
Chase Sapphire Preferred
American Express Platinum
Chase Ink Plus (it's a business card)
Barclay Arrival Plus

There are many others

Sign up bonuses are what makes these cards worth it. Almost all of premium travel credit cards come with an annual fee; so after the first year, you will probably want to downgrade to non-annual fee version or close the card to avoid paying an annual fee. If you play the credit card game properly you can travel the world for almost free.
