I have been working full time for a while and I think i have reached a plateau in my salary. I see contract jobs at $95 per hour that I could easily get but I am uncertain how it works out. Specially the medical insurance part. Does anyone have any idea how much private medical insurance costs and what other things I should think about before jumping ship?

Insurance is not cheap. I switched to contract after working ft for a while . I m paying 1400/m for a single person . Can go to around 3000 for a family of 4 for a good coverage . If u have family probably not worth but if ur single go for it.

That $95/hr is more like $65/hr once you cut all the expenses and taxes. not to mention you can be cut at anytime.
