First of all, where there is smoke, there must be fire. I am inclined to suspect that if not death, the Crown Princess must have been hurt in some way. Secondly, the footage on KTV could have been an old one, who knows? After all, the government/establishment is notorious for taking extreme measures, sometimes abjectly foolish, to suppress any news that they perceive as potentially explosive and/or embarrassing. Thirdly, however, we all know how prone to rumors our society is. Even the tettees koti devta, I suspect, must love to gossip. Therefore, I'd wait for few more days at the least to confirm or disqualify the news. Tyo dhobini ko chyaatyaa petticoast ko kassam...Pashupati naath le Nepal ko aek thopa kallyan garya bhaye mari jaam! ;)

oh my god, what the hell is going on in this country. Seems like every 2-3 days something exiting happens. last few days of curfew probably has hampered nepalese economy a lot, but now what happened. Few more days of curfew?

Poonte, the footage was indeed of TODAY. I spotted one of a cameraman I know among the crowd at hanumandhoka. And yes, he was there today. All the tv and radio stations CATEGORICALLY verify their presence at HD. There were thousands of people linning up the roads to see them. Moreover, Himani should not have any serious injuries. If otherwise, she could not have carried on for one-and-a-half hours roaming around HD. She was smiling all the way. And for the first time I can remember, the couple were seen exchanging friendly banters-- it looked so, at least. My sincere apologies for any misunderstanding I may have caused.

Crown Prince Paras, Princess Himani visit Hanmunadhoka Crown Prince Paras and Princess Himani visited Hanumandhoka durbar complex in the capital Saturday afternoon. This is the first public appearance by members of the royal family after the curfew was imposed in the capital, Kathmandu, on Wednesday (September 1). Life in Kathmandu and Lalitpur seemed to be returning to normalcy Saturday as curfew had been relaxed for eight hours during the day. Curfew was again relaxed for two hours (between 17:00 hours and 19:00 hours) in the evening. Authorities said the curfew would be relaxed gradually after assessing the security situation in the capital valley. There have been no reports of violence over the last four days when the curfew was relaxed in the morning and evening for the convenience of general public. nepalnews.com by Sep 04 04

looks like this guy has made a hell of a situation here. this proves that nepalese (in nepal or abroad, however 'educated' they might be, dont yet have a disceplined and responsible cyber society. http://www.newsofnepal.com/ffstory.asp?sn=1362

Dada Giri Brother, That is called DEMOCRACY in Nepal. Anybody can do anything and still no one bothers to care. i.e FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I think this is extreme. I dont know what extreme it is going to reach.

http://newsofnepal.com/ffstory.asp?sn=1362 Sajha.com has been cited here on this news..... Never realized the implication of a simple posting here on the sajha could have in the real world. I believe, we (all posters) have to draw the lines when it comes to posting on "serious" issues, especially those that can provok emotional actions (e.g., Rhitik Roshan fiasco)... otherwise, NEPAL JASTO HALLAI HALLA KO DESHMA, I do not want to see someone misusing the great platform provided by sajha for some evil acts. Just my two cents.

Time to learn, we create, nurture and propogate rumours without even thinking about its consequences. It is not good that we have to learn the hardest way, but better late then never. So, Sajha .com is also now imdicted, that makes each of us responsible to the cause.
