Are you asking for the lyrics or the meaning of the lyrics translated in Eng??

I think kaali wants a translation, from what can be gathered from the statement, " i don't know sudra Nepali". Sudra = Suddha, I assume.

My scattered brain did get to the point where it saw something about the lyrics, but never got beyond that point in the request. After Anj's pointer, I should admit that even after having memorized the song sometime back in an attempt to choreograph a medley for the International program at college, I have no clue as to how I can effectively communicate the lovelorn sentiment captured in the melody without being "Lost in Translation"...

Truthfully I wouldn't know how to translate the song.. Its a bit difficult... but a girl is singing about how this guy cuts through her butter-like heart through his love... LOL sounds wierd.. but that the LITERAL meaning i guess

Okie kali gal, I may help you. I am not good in translation. The nepalese word are so hard to translate in english because in english there is no use of " anukaran sabda" like t waka, heterkia, latharkai ,sutukai etc etc.

Geri khet here means.........paddy field which u can see in place like nepal, garwal and bali(indonesia). Those are the small piece of paddy field with different layer with the irrigation facility.It is like one part gets irrigated then goes down to other. It is layered with the clay to make it stronghold.
sirai halyo barsayam ko garauti le
So that paddy feild gets destroyed by heavy rain fall cos it cant hold overflowing of water. In other sense it flooded away entire paddy field.

nauni jasto mero maana chira paryo usko rup ko karauti le

Nauni means- cottage cheese ( nepali version of buffalo mozzerlla)
chira paryo means- to create crack
usko rup means- his looks
karauti means-equipment that is used by carpenter to cut logs and woods...........like shaw

It doesnot make sense when you change sahitik words in english. This is best i can do

marsangti ma jaalai halyo maagi dai le aaga- marsangti is river in nepal . It says fisherman put net in that river
bihani maa dekhe uslai maata laagyo saajha
bihani means-early morning like 8 to 10.30 am
dekhe uslai means- had a glimpse of him
maat laagyo saajha-she got intoxicated in evening
so she is saying" she saw her in the moring but got intoxicated in evening"

may be love is some kind of slow drugs

freek.. haha, my name is supposed to be a pun for 'black queen' (as in nubian queen) and it's also in reference to the goddess.. BUT ALSO it's what my mother calls me when she's playin around with me--kali.

so you know, i grew up in the states. thus, the reason why i dont know suddha (thanks for the correction folks) nepali.

p.s. i love all brown people.. all shades of them, including black. i just hate whitey.

It is a beautiful of piece of poem by late Bal krishna Sama.This song is mentioned in his book prem pinda which was made movie later on. The movie is itself a potryal of kind and evil within the one. The story which is recitied by Bal Krishna Sama( rana) has more derivation from shakespeare novel where he dont have one character as villan and hero. It is very typical style of him. Bal krishna Shama born in rana family with the royal connection was educated in India and England. He developed high commanding english there. The time of Rana dynesty there were two great ppl with great English command and writing skill was Late poet laxmi Parsad devkota and bal krishna sama. He drived the shakespeare book and wrote for Nepali ppl with the sacrasim of Rana dynesty. He changed his surname rana to Shama because of his family deeds for poor ppl. It is remake nepali version of Othello i guess

Excellent job there Beachlife ji. However, I have some exceptions to make.

1. By the word "pun", it did not relate to the person's last name.

2. "Tuhin" is single cable "bridge" with a little pouch like thing (if not just a swing like loop) hanging from the cable. You hop onto it and basically thank gravity and some push and pull to get you across the river.

3. "Pairo" I think means landslide/mudslide.

Those above song was from a nepali movie called "Prem-Pinda" which was totally influnced by a novel of sama...but the song was not his ...hmmmm i forgot his name ..let me think and post it later...hehehehe
